Number of Rapes reported in USA last year are about 90,000 and number of rapes reported in India 24,246. It means in USA there were 286 rapes per million where as in India it is 20. So You see where woman are raped more and unsafe. You need some reality check. Many of my relatives have also faced similar situations in USA but they never generalised that all USA males are rapist. The article seems untrue as during Ganeshotsav if a white lady is dancing in festival there is lot of curiosity. People whould love to watch you dancing and photograph you. It is rare sight to see a white woman dancing. I am from Bombay but it is much more safer for woman than any other city such as London and New York.    Forward   |   Report abuse

Do you mean women were safe during BJP's rule? That is not so. Instead of blaming Congress or BJP or Some other political party, what we need to understand that the Culture of India that we glorify so much is at the root of all such crimes. Our Culture say "NoSex" till you get married. How on earth you can stop the Natural instincts of Biological requirements of Body. The so called good culture of India needs to be reviewed. Then there are arranged marriages without considering the compatibility of each other and entirely based on religion, caste and equivalent social status. When they get married, they do not get that satisfaction of marriage and then they start looking outside for that satisfaction. Somewhere we need to rethink about the so called glorious culture.
