Cong is not happy that couples in india r happy with their married life...they want distrubance every where...that what everyone can see in their policies on diff. ministries..be it education,external,internal or finacial....every where they r creating problems for common man and society in large...these people don't want peace in India...
Yeah..yeah.. last time it was Free cell phones to people with free talk time..now salary to house wifes.. I studied in my school about the way Thuglak has ruled.. looks like the same days are again running
Why have they written to MMS,who gives his entire salary to mummy,the wives will now have same rights as govt servants ,cannot be fired,be incompetent and make money on the side.
The Union Government has almost destroyed the nation and now they are targeting the house! Alas, let the MPs first start paying to their spouse and set an example so that the public can experience its after-effect.......
While the idea of marraige and couple in India was the strongest with no commercial relation entering into it, this crazy govt is introducing a social problem for nothing. All things being equal and shared between the couple, the idea of doing paid work is belittling the big task the wife at home does. It is not for money that she does or not because that she does work at home that she seeks money.. This idea is smacking of stupidity. If they want to enact laws to help exploitation, they could do so by simply making it mandatory for the wife to have a stake in all assets owned by the husband post marraige or by suggesting and promoting joint account holding thoughts etc.. What if one of the partners is a spendthrift or a gambler.. Legal profession is best kept out of social practices to save the institution of marriage. The western society already suffers from near destruction of the institution of marriage, where it is not common to see partners in marraige still holding on to their individuality and even bicker on who will spend how much on their children.. This set of parliamentarian are jokers who have no worthwhile business to do. This should be objected not because of mens or womens rights but because it is trivializing the institution of marriage by buying in services. - Vishwanath

I think what you are suggesting is even worse. Why should my wife have claim to all my assets? It's ridiculous. If I had any asset before marriage it should remain mine. She can perhaps only claim 50-50 on all assets bought after marriage. Also joint account holding is a bad idea. It should be left upto the individual to decide whether they want a joint account. What if instead of the man, the wife is a spendthrift? Then the husband will work his back off and the wife can recklessly take money out of the bank and spend it.
The government should not be allowed to mess with out personal lives, period. How a married couple live their lives is upto them. Bringing in regulations will only hurt the institute of marriage and make men less willing to marry in future.
WCD is the root cause of all the ills of this society. If 498a, DP3,4, PWDVA etc etc weren't enough they have come up with SHWB and now share of share of property through IRBM and share of salary. These guys have gone nuts. They are breaking the Indian society with these ill conceived laws by trampling men in the name of empowering women. Down Down WCD.
