what was essentially seen as a gods favored institution is now a commodity, where one partners willing to take up a job in the house hold for a cash remuneration. arent the divorce courts enough to meet the eventuality of the relationship breaking up so that the wife's future is protected. why are we undermining and corrupting a mutual self chosen relationship into something commercial. where is the soul in the arrangement
They can't run the affairs of the country (which is simpler) and want to run our homes. Freaks! She's spending all the money anyway. Which world do these guys live in? The men are the oppressed lot. Wake up, Mr Looney Tunes.

I think this could work to our advantage in a way. Wives already spend more than 50% of our income every month. Now I can give her 20% and tell her to buy her own food, clothes, cosmetics etc. with that money. I will happily keep the remaining 80%. We can all have no strings attached relationship with our wives. Thanks Congress.

If husband is not working and instead the wife is working, you can be rest assured this law won't be applied the other way around. Afterall all laws in India need to be anti-men to be effective.
