Will Mamata take responsibility for passengers deaths?
by Article comments on Mar 23, 2012 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

Will Mamata take the responsibility for all the passenger deaths caused by accidents? Will Mamata take responsibility for all the level crossing deaths? I wonder if Mamata or her own kin have ever suffered grievous mortal pain and only then this lady will ever understand what safety means.

Nation is the ultimate loser
by Manoj Dev on Mar 23, 2012 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

The new Rail minister only knows that he has to do what Ms. B says. His boss has little understanding of anything administrative or commecial. Her specialization is inciting people. The politicians can continue to play their games, afterall Air India is there for them. The final loser are the Indian Railways and its hapless users, the general public.

Pathetic state of Railways..
by Rathna on Mar 23, 2012 02:22 PM  | Hide replies

Just because of populist politics, the Railways which is one of the worlds biggest network is now struggling to cope up. If it continues like this, then we would have to see very poor service due to lack of funds.

A Balakrishnan should be made the rail minister of the country and start featuring wheel of good times with an annual calendar (similar to king ...): I guess it won't be that difficult, given rediff's wonderful portal exhibition!

purpose of entering into politics
by veerapuram dharan on Mar 23, 2012 02:19 PM

those days, great leaders entered into politics to serve the people....these days, politics is a means to achieve selfish purposes..why on the hell we need to keep silence is a big question..atleast when some one fights for our cause like anna, we are not even supporting him..when we ourselves are not bothered to weed out corruption and nepotism, the politicians will develop more and more guts to do wrong things...
