Its time for Trivedi to shut up
by Dev Gupta on Mar 23, 2012 07:01 PM

of course he must be feeling very hurt but he needs to understand that his Budget was no good. It did not address the principal cause for the decline of the Railways performance & finances. In short ;

the large number of employees hired by previous Railway Ministers Nitish Kumar & Lalloo Prasad from their home state Bihar. These workers have bloated the payroll and labor cost has shot up by 35 %.
Large number of long - distance trains introduced by these Ministers for purely political reasons. These trains go half filled while local train service is jam packed.
Fraud by Contractors in league with Officials.
Waste of Diesel fuel e,g. trains in electrified routes pulled by Diesel not electric locos, ...and so on

I feel I am unshackled: Dinesh Trivedi
by Sasidharan Nair on Mar 23, 2012 04:18 PM  | Hide replies

I agree with Mr.Trivedi and I hope the very principle of democratic system would be understood and maintained by the PM while demanding resignation of any Minister in future.

The exit of Mr.Trivedi was the result of a black-mailing tactic adopted by Mamata protractionism and it has tainted our democratic system in such a sardonic manner! It would have been better appreciated if the PM had offered resignation instead of succumbing to Mamata's black-mailing ordeal! The PM has demnonstrated that he wanted the ministry somehow remained intact, which was infact a slap on the nation!

Mamata was not blackmailing but Trivedi was blackmailing his party and the people who have elected as him MP.

Trivedi was in the cabinet as a representative of Trinamool Congress and Ms. Mamata Banerjee is within her right to recall him as and when he acts against the interest of the party and the people who have voted his party for him to be an MP. He was not a Member of Parliament elected on the ticket of PM's party.

Democracy has been shown the door doer a long long time since Nehru's days.Since 1950.
Again in 1955 and in between for many times!
PEOPLE'S VOICES WERE UNHEARD THEN AS CONGREXX WAS TAKEN AS SUPREME by almost all except
Dr Shyama Prasad who QUIT congrexx in protest but so what?
DID THE DEMOCRACY KILLERS REPENT?
***********
Dont talk of 'democracy'when its a past thing !
REMEMBER WHAT PARLIAMENTARIAN
Smt Subhadra Joshi told in parliament suring debate on 'hindu marriage act bill of 1955' AT THE INSTANCE OF NEHRU - DEMOCRACY WAS DEAD THEN ITSELF!

Insane Mamata!
by Indranath Lahiri on Mar 23, 2012 03:59 PM  | Hide replies

I wonder how can a Govt.bow down to a lady who hardly has a commercial knowledge & hardly understands economy? Govt. is compelling us to live in an opportunists' paradise. She will not be pardoned by the people of Bengal, her days are numbered.

She has been elected by the People of West Bengal with thumping majority to get rid of the 35 years (mis)rule of your party. Her days are not numbered. She is pro-poor Chief Minister anbd she will rule West Bengal another 35 years.

Wishful thinking!!
The coming panchayat election in bengal will mark the downfall of mamata. After 35 years of being a nonsense opposition, she has already proved how farcical she is in governing a state and delivering something creative.
Don't forget "Ma Mati Manush" was a famous jatra (stage play) of the 1980s in bengal. But it ran only for a season.
We need hard nosed capable people to turn the tides of the state. Not some nautanki run by a semi literate government!!!

mamata's fooly
by Ashok Vora on Mar 23, 2012 03:49 PM

as sonia thinks india is her property, mmT thinks railway is her property. And her hypocricy is worth emulating even by deeply corrupt congress and sonia. But it will not be long before her honeymoon with people of bengal is over. And in any case she is going the way all others who have gone with congress have gone. congress is a big jinx for all who have gone with it. see what has happened to Lalu, paswan, pdp, cpim etc
