when punjab was attacked India never killed every punjabi in india When Bengali was attacked in west bengal ,not everyone killed in bengal when tamilian was attacked in elam,indians helped in killing every tamilian...

Why didn't India request/plead/beg (afterall, India is NOT USA to order!!) the UN to also include the HumanRightsViolations of the LTTE as part of the PROBE?

India too can be faulted by other in immediate future for govt handling of Naxalites, Maoists and militants in Mizoram, Manipur and J & K. UNHRC has not worked out any humane mechanism so far how to handle armed rebels, militants and activists like LTTE, Naxalites, Maoists who challenge and threaten sovereignity of countries, hold innocent civilians hostage, commit kidnaps and murders. Big powers wage wars in other countries on lame unproven excuses,project murders of innocent civilans as collateral damages but when it comes to small countries like Lanka they talk tough on human rights platform

Another anti Tamil providing lame excuses to justify genocide and ethnic cleansing. Listen the indigenous Eelam Tamils are the the original people of the island. The Sinhalese may now be in a majority but they are not indigenous to the land. They are a mixture of the indigenous Tamil speaking tribes that converted to Buddhism and immigrants from Orissa and Tamil Nadu. The Sinhalese langauge is basically a mixture of the indigenous Tamil dialect and Pali/Sanskrit of Buddhism. A people called Sinhalese only really came into existance from the 12Th century onwards. Sinhalese is still around 35 to 40% Tamil in vocabulary and its grammer syntax and alphabet is purely Tamil based. All ancient kings in the island never called themselves Sinhaese or Aryan as they were not. They were Buddhist many Hindu but they were larely Tamil Naga or Dravidian in origin. The island had hardly been united. It was always divided into Sinhalese and Tamil kingdoms from ancient times. It was the Brtish who unitd the Sinhalese and Tamil parts of the island in 1833 for their conveniance. in 1948 the Sinhalee majority took over the island and the nightmare of the Tamils had begun .They systamatically have discriminated the island's Tamil population from every spehere.They have killed more than 300000 Tamils, ethnicallycleansed more than 2 miilion Indigenous Tamils. Made 1.2 million Indian Tamils stateless. After livining in the island for 200 years. They commit genocide and that is fine for you.

Wrong logic. As per your claim if Tamils were the original inhabitants blame them for not uniting under a proper leadership for either integrating themselves into the mainstream or integrating Sinhalese with their main stream. No democratic country can tolerate internal challenges to its sovereignity and mass kidnappings and murders or using women and children as cover in terror battles. What has Prabhakaran done for Tamils except using them as fodder for Lankan guns? He would have become another Gaddafi in lanka had he won.Most of the Indians went under the leadership of Gandhi and won freedom and honor mostly thru non-violence.So too blacks of USA and blacks of South Africa most of whom did not take to armed struggles.

Nobody can deny what you say. But to make the 1.2 million Indian Tamils stateless, your indigenous ethnic Tamilians supported with both hands( Mr G G Ponnambalam etc).Now sinhalese are majority by quirk of fate.Nobody can help that. Tamils will have to live with them forgetting politics and politicians both in Sri Lanka and Tamilnadu. I am not a Lankan tamilian but I also know the history of Sri Lanka.

Dear Friends, Please watch the Channel 4 Documentary 'Sri lanka's Killing Fields' before posting your comments on India Supporting the UNHRC Resolution. What happened in sri lankha on 2009 was a blatant violation of baisc human rights against innocent women and children. It was not just a sri lankha - LTTE war.
For once we need to think as global citizens, is this the world we want to give our Children. This could have happened to anyone's wife and children. It is just about being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The Indian Government has indeed shown great foresight and wisdon with this decission.
The message we need to send it that what ever the conflict of idealogy : Women, Children and Elderly people needs to be kept out of it.

When LTTE started losing the battle from Elephant Pass onwards, they forcibly coerced the civilians to vacate their houses by spreading scare of lanka army and posed themselves as saviours. Innocent people believed LTTE and went with them.People from Places like Kilinochchi, Pudukudiyiruppu etcetc (I cant remember some villages) went with them and the total number exceeded 350000. Thats why when Lanka Army had no difficulty in capturing these villages & Towns as they were empty. LTTE then used these civilians as shields and fought the war mixing with them. Troops had no alternative other than firing (though it is wrong).At the last stage only LTTE asked the civilians to escape. Did you see the manner in which these innocent people were running into Govt controlled area? You must see both sides of the coin sir. You will get a clear picture when you speak to these people in the absence of both warring parties. Do not speak to those who have left Lanka before the escalation of war. You will get a wrong picture only. Sorry for my typo and grammatical errors.

DMK was against even the war on LTTE when their strength was much higher in UPA-1 but UPA didn't budge from supporting Srilanka. So, UPA cares a hoot for DMK. The strings lie elsewhere!!
