-With the horse-trading and buying-out MPs and MLAs during 2008 trust vote.Even USA consulate has verified it.
-With illegal means of Naveen Chawla, UPA 2 came to power.Illegaly of course.
-Survival of UPA dependent on its blackmailing tactics of Sp and BSP supremos. So illegally surviving and ruling.
-Then, with the help of ISI, perpetrated the 26/11 Mumbai carnage to instill fear amongst the muslims to either vote for congress and NCP or get indicted and get tortured by CBI..

1) Is USA consulate the SC? USA consulate has also verified that BJP is using Hindutwa for vote and they wanted to take the credit of Nuclear deal instead of UPA. What is your opinion about that?

2) Which illegal means of Naveen Chawala? Have your party registered a case regarding that in any Police station in India?

3) This is a pure hypothesis. When the same Congress is the single most threat to their existence in UP, I don't think BSP and SP is extending support because UPA is using pressure tactics against them.

4) This is a good fiction for RSS camps. This is even ridiculous when BJP is the only party which to his credit fought war inside India, where as under Congress Govt. India has fought war inside pakistan. Even in one case was able to divide that country.

are you staying in a real world? when the fraction of MLA send letter to governer that they have not faith on the current government, are not they involving anti-party activity? if they thought that current government is not governing well for people, they should resign from their mla post and bring the government down instead they go with kumarswamy to bring the government down. if you still think they are not doing the anti-party activity, i believe you are the most brain-wash idiot living in the world. Is doggy or munny ur guru, if so, noone expect any better from you. go and continue your anti rss/bjp/vhp activity, otherwise ur guru will not like you anymore.

Manmohan & sonia Govt should resign
by Bharath on May 17, 2011 09:22 AM  | Hide replies

It is congress who paid huge amount of money ro rebel MLA to dissolve the BJP Government. Is it constitutional? After all, SC critizied the central govt for electing corrupted person for CBI director postion.

Heard about "Operation Lotus?" Check it out if you do blame the Congress for the ills of a party which is surviving on cash and cash alone for the past so many months. The Supreme Court verdict says that " We are constrained to hold that the proceedings conducted by the speaker on the disqualification application filed by B S Yedurappa do not meet the twin tests of natural justice and fair play."

It goes on to add, "Unless it was to ensure that the trust vote did not go against the chief minister, there was no conceivable reason for the speaker to have taken up the disqualification application in such a hurry." These are not the words of the Congress. When the Supreme Court has said so, why don't the BJP just bow down and resign. Remember how they clamoured for the resignation of the CVC once the same Court said that the CVC was not above suspicion? The same logic should hold good for everyone. Throwing mud at the Congress for everything will not absolve the BJP of it's crimes - especially the ones being perpetuated in Karnataka under Yeddiyurappa.

BJP does not have to resign merely because two communal judges gave a verdict to suit the central govt on a promise that they will rewarded for it after their retirement. Judges & you should hang in shame.

Mr Govindan,
The judges who delivered the verdict were promoted to this position when Hansraj Bharadwaj was law minister.
They ignored the facts that the Rebel MLAs had communicated on TV networks that Kumaraswamy was their leader and they will do anything to topple the Government. They remained incommunicable to the BJP leadership till the minute they came for voting. There is no need for more proof that they were indulging in anti-party activities.
There has been an error in SC ruling which is openly believed to have been due to Veerapppa Moily's influence too, but as citizens, we will have to accept the verdict.
If Congress has the guts, let them wait for 2 more years face another election and get the people's mandate.
As for now, they better focus on party building: their tantrums have no takers: the repeated defeats in the elections are the best indication.

Why should congress let their MLA's go in operation Lotus? They are moving out of congress or JDS only because they know that they will lose their deposits if they continue in their current parties. Like the people of karnataka who have reinforce their faith in BJP election after election since 2008, these MLAs too appreciate Yeddy's development work & quit their parties. Mind you, they quit their MLA post & get re-elected.

These 11 MLAs could have done the same, but they did not & fell more promises by congress & JDS which boomeranged & the cong/JDS true to their nature did not pay the promised money too. Having been ditched, they realised their folly & returned to BJP fold.

by khairnar on May 17, 2011 09:03 AM  | Hide replies

People of this democratic country fully supports the action taken by the Speaker and we wants that laws should be treat those elected representatives who got elected from a particular symbol if wants to change loyalty during the elected period, ELECTION LAWS SHOULD BE CHANGED SO THAT THEIR ELECTION SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE TREATED AS CANCELLED AND THEY WILL NOT GET STATUS OF AN ELECTED REP. UNTIL AND UNLESS HE RE-ELECTED FROM THE CONSTITUINECY UNDER THE NEW SYMBOL. We believe that there should be some poltiical ethics in the political field. It should not be made as a PROSTITUTIONAL ways of workings as everybody knows that they can embrace anyone who gives money and power or favor.

All the Ills of the Indian Democracy is the FLAWED CONSTITUTION which is borrowed mostly from England where in the Peoples representative are to follow some ethics and the People are literate and they know the RIGHTS as well as RESPONSIBILITIES.Where in the Indians only know their RIGHTS and totally ignorant about RESPONSIBILITIES.And what to say about our REPRESENTATIVES?Constitution is very kind enough to all CRIMINALS than the HONEST CITIZENS.No doubt in 60 Years we have moved from a PROUD REPUBLIC to a BANANA REPUBLIC.

Congress should think back
by kskumar on May 17, 2011 08:59 AM  | Hide replies

Some years ago, when TN & Karnataka were engaged in one of their yearly tussles on Cauvery waters, the then CM S M Krishna went on a padayatra after tensions rose following the suicide of a Karnataka farmer.

The SC made caustic observations on the padayatra and virtually told the CM to quit if he cannot maintain law and order. Did he quit? No.

The present observations by the SC are nowhere as harsh as the words used then. But then this is hardly surprising considering that all parties, especially the Congress have developed hypocrisy into a fine art.

The BJP and the Karnataka CM are no saints and seem to be sinking deeper in corruption and nepotism, but of all the parties, the Congress is least qualified to talk about these issues.

Well put Mr.Kumar. In fact, I heard the uncouth Manish Tiwary live yesterday. He was talking of `morality'! Can you imagine Congress talking of morality! Congress `morality' has been exposed in the emergency, anti-Sikh riots of 1984, Bhiwandi riots, Rajiv Gandhi allowing shilayanas at the disputed site in Ayodhya to appease the Hindus, Harshad Mehta scam, 2-G scam, Adarsh scam, Telgi scam, CWG scam - well there is no end to the list. Did not the same Congress encourage Amar Singh to do business with MPs for winning the nuclear debate in the Parliament? Congress has dismissed elected State Governments several times illegally based on reports from their chosen Governors. In fact, the then President Abdul Kalam faxed from abroad imposition of President's rule in Bihar when it became clear to Lallu Prasad Yadav that Nitish Kumar has been able to win majority and will win the floor test. Lallu used his clout with the Congress for imposition of the President's rule. The present President of the country, a non-entity, has been imposed on the country by the Congress. The selection of CVC by the PM and the Home Minister belonging to the Congress went against all morality! And these Congressmen talk of morality! What a shame. BJP should counter attack, as the Congress has no right to talk of morality in Indian politics. Remember, I have not even mentioned Bofors where Bharadwaj allowed Quottrachi to scoot with the loot!

MANISH TIWARI IS TELLING THAT IT IS MOST CORRUPT GOVT....
by khairnar on May 17, 2011 08:59 AM  | Hide replies

Manish Tiwari is telling the reason that it is the most corrupt govt. then, what about UPA2. UPA2 is the most infamous corrupt govt. we have ever seen in the independent India and UPA2 should resign first and take a fresh mandate from the people and all the corrupted MPS and MINISTERS and Political Leaders should be put under arrest. We dare you to do that?... Now coming the question of manipulation of majority: what UPA1 has done in the no confidence motion on Nuclear deal - world is well aware about it and you cannot cover that by calling others are most famous manipulation managers. UPA2 in various times taken help from the most corrupted political laders politcal outfits like SP, BSP and RJD. What u can tell about that?.... Bharadwaj behaviour against BJP Govt. in Karatanka from day one is negative and he alongwith disgruntled congress and jds at the state was and is creating problem for the elected Govt. and in between they succeeded to break some MLAs from the ruling party. Speaker immediately took action which is even though SC reversed (WE CANNOT TELL THAT SC IS RIGHT ALL TIME, AND THE VERDICT ON THIS ISSUE IS NOT AT ALL REASONABLE AND JUSTIFIABLE) which is widely discussing worldwide about the legality of this verdict.

Yes, Asnshul. We the citizen are well aware the tactics of UPA2. However, petrol and other hikes in various fields including the hikes RBI and other Banks are doing from time to time on the consumers are to be fought with seperately. We see a good chance to particpate the struggle against change of system started by Ramdev Baba and Anna Hazare. We should fully support and participate them even if we will have to be in prison or UPA2 doing all types of suppressive tactis and genocide, we will have to come out in open to save Indian Democracy from the clutches of all bound corruption and antinationals.

Legitimacy of the central Govt to continue?
by P Dutta on May 17, 2011 08:57 AM

"Is a floor test correct when we are dealing with an illegitimate government?" - a congress joker asks a question. If Congress party feels honestly and strongly about it then he should address this question to his own govt at the centre. Can there be a bigger justification for a govt to voluntarily step down if it has failed and is continuously failing on all fronts. The issues of rampant corruption (many have come to light and many more are in the pipeline), the intransigent inflation that refuses to come down significantly, unabated rising prices of all essential commodities ever since the govt took over 6 yrs back resulting in a large section starving, allowing foodgrains to rot in the open and then justify import of the same items at much higher prices etc, etc. How can Tiwari justify that his govt govt at the centre is a legitimate one when a large section of the people in the country are suffering/dying in silence because of the blatantly wrong approach to human suffering by the govt. If nothing else, simply on the issue of DMK and Congress combine having been rejected so mercilessly by the people of Tamilnadu, this so called popular govt at the centre should realise that it is running a minority govt since at least 80% of elected MPs of DMK-Congress coalition must have been rejected by the Tamilnadu electorate. Therefore, a party which has itself lost the moral right to continue in office should not ask another party that enjoys majority on i

IF WHAT MANISH TIWARI SAYS IS CORRECT, THEN ON WITHDRAWAL OF SUPPORT BY THE LEFT TO THE UPA ON THE NUKE POWER ISSUE, UPA GOVT HAD LOST ITS MAJORITY. THEN HOW DID THEY CONTINUE? MAJORITY WAS MANAGED BY POWER BROKERS LIKE AMARSINGHS, MULAYAMSINGHS, ETC. ETC.
CONGRESS DOES NOT SEEM TO LEARN LESSONS FROM THE PAST.
