an opportunity
by mefunxy on Mar 07, 2011 12:04 PM

Now Rahul Baba will visit aruna in KEM and will speak abt crime against woman. He will also invite ppl to join hands aganist such hinous acts. later, all pathetic scum congis will start sending flowers to Aruna because their prince has done so.
This news is hot and politicians wont let this easy opportunity gettin lost. I wont be surprised if (wo)man-mohan Singh will send a congratulatory remark to Aruna stating that how fortunate she is to live in clean and corruptionless state called Inda...kudos!

euthanasia

Please feel the pain of her. Where is our human right commission? Please grant her appeal for euthanasia. I think it is her right to escape from her pain which she cant express-can not reacts. I think by refusing the euthanasia in this case court gave her another punishment. The court also has not any right to do that. Please help her!!!!!!!!!

pl. consider her colleagues feelings

One point is overlooked in this forum,
This mercy killing was staunchly turned down by her colleagues. Although the present setup
at the hospital was very young or was not even born at the time of incidence, they are still taking care of her as one of them.
They have even moved her away from the wards,
so that she should not be blamed for occupying the hospital bed.
Since there is no burden on outside people,
nobody should try out for her mercy killing.
Or else if permitted, several cases will come up to cover up murders as mercy killings.

Only thing that hurts me is the Killer is moving free now as he was given only seven years inprisonment, although he had done it
planning, for a minor cause of conflict.

You are so correct in your thinking.

The judgement is in Aruna's favour.

The likes of Pinki Virani and Bacchi Karkarya have had their fame and fortune because of Aruna's Story!

They have no business in asking for her mercy killing if those who are tending to her have no objection to soldier on with her care

Aruna has life but she is in a vegetative state because she was brutally choked & sodomized by a ward boy called Sohanlal Bhartha Walmiki who is scot-free in Delhi now after serving some time for rape!!!

She has lost 37 good years of her life and the criminal is roaming free and will stike someone else when he gets "motivated (again) partly by resentment for being ordered about and castigated" by another nurse for not doing his ward boy chores with honesty!!!

That judgement must be reconsidered and Sohanlal Bhartha Walmiki should be put behind bars again forth with. He needs to serve hard labour for 37 or more years ... or till Aruna lives in this pitiful state.

"This mercy killing was staunchly turned down by her colleagues".. This statement should not be considered. What if the "colleagues" supporting her daily chores move out to other departments or out of the hospital, tomorrow ? Do you think the new recruits will do the same job as well ? This definately should not be the basis of the judgement.

That is what is happening Sir!
Please read the writings the writings of Kaka carefully. He has correctly mentioned that the staff taking care of her is young generation and are not her old colleagues.

idiot , mercy killing has to be approved after more than 1 competent doctor or a panel of doctors certify the patient cannot regain normal heath.

it can never be done by just about anyone...no murder can be mercy killing ..but ppl do kill their very old and worse healthy girl childs.

Only if Government or court takes care
by Nonviolent on Mar 07, 2011 12:00 PM  | Hide replies

Well SC judgement shall be based on the fact that GOI, state govt or ciurts are doing nothing for the patient.

Unless SC assures that she will be taken care of in case the people stop taking care then the judgement is valid

SC has allowed passive euthansia that is withdrawl of life-support if people taking care of her want to do so.

Here is a person who cannot lead any kind of live and who wants to end the suffering by ending the life. The government if it cannot assure any salvation by way of treatment, should not insist on the person living like a vegetable.

Mercy killing

Very sad, mercy killing should be allowed, Hinduism permits it, when the aim of life is over, one can accept death wtth feeling of highest devotion. WE have many old and crippled people with 125 crore of population, actually condition of few is highly miserable

pls dont give distorted that Hinduism permits it.... who has decided that the aim of life is over in this case?

while it is undoubtedly miserable but then hindusim definitely doesnt allow anyone other than Nature to decide whether the 'objective of life' is over.

but hats off to the Staff of the Hospital for taking such good care of this lovely lady.

May Peace be with Her...

Pinky Virani... go after the man who brought this state onto Aruna ! Let Aruna live as long as she does - you have no right to kill her !

Jonas Dsouza - You are merely quoting from the Bible and Sunday mass sermons ! Yes ! Nobody who can give birth to life, CANNOT take away a life too. ! I am the Devil's reincarnation ! I haven't gone to attend Sunday mass or sermons for last 15 to 20 years ! Shocking ?? Well, I attend Marriage masses, Baptisms, engagements, etc., etc.,
Think of poor Aruna. What if, she was your OWN sister ?? Think, think, but don't for heaven's sake, reply to me !

Please do not bring religion on a public forum. How you practice your religion is none of my business. If you were subjected to some torture at your workplace, would you have just got up, gone and committed suicide or fought it ? Aruna is fighting - support her if you can or go and hang yourself !

Aruna is KEM Hospital's baby. Because, both Aruna and the monsters were employees of the hospital and the brutal act took place in the very premises of the hospital. Let the institute take some responsibility though it can't undo the loss.
