Tough but Good Decision
by chunjaru on Mar 07, 2011 02:01 PM  | Hide replies

In our country, where people find legal loopholes and take law unto their own hands, this decision is very important. Cuz there will be 1000 of elderly people in tenterhooks with many relatives waiting for their death to swindle their wealth.

ITS' A GOD'S DECISION, WHY WE SHOULD INTERFERE.
by arun naik on Mar 07, 2011 01:14 PM  | Hide replies

IT IS A MIRACLE SINCE LAST 37 YEARS. ARUNA SHANBAUG HAS BEEN TAKEN MOTHERLY CARE BY KEM STAFF LIKE ANY MOTHER / FATHER TAKING CARE OF THEIR ABNORMAL CHILD. IT IS VERY SAID AND CRUEL ON PART OF JUDICIARY THAT CULPRIT/OFFENDER IS FREE IN SOCIETY. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN DEATH SENTENCE. WHEN ARUNA HERESELF IS NOT ABLE TO GIVE HER SAY AND KEM STAFF IS TAKING HER CARE, WHY WE / OTHER SHOULD INTERFER.

Aruna's Mercy
by Sandeep Kulshrestha on Mar 07, 2011 12:58 PM

If someone breaks all my bones and sends me to confinement to bed, I will feel the pain alongwith my near ones but if my brain is damaged then I will not feel anything. The pain shall be felt only by my near-dear one and if they feel their love to me they hv got the rights to keep me alive.

Aruna was adopted by the KEM (for whatsoever reason) and taking care of her, so they r the ones feeling the pain for killing her. If they want then let them keep their baby.

But I vertainly dont like to think of Valmiki roaming free.

Law

Most of the judgments given are based on the rules framed in the early 50's or 60's rather than looking into the facts and case history of the plea. She has been in a vegetative state for the past 37 years, she will be undergoing a lot of trauma which unfortunately cannot be expressed by her.A serious thought on amending laws has to be taken on a war footing taking into consideration the number of different types of plea, cases, which are cropping up day by day.

Where is GOD now? Why doesn't he show any mercy on this poor woman? Her tormentor is running free in Delhi. Where is that Divine Justice? We have created the concept of God for our psychological security? There is no one above in the skies monitoring our good or bad activities. God has a lot to answer for if he really exists?

In this case, it certainly seems like there is no God and the idea of divine justice is a man made idea to keep people honest. But then, isn't God also a truly merciful God? God does not have vendetta's my friend.

WHEN - INNOCENT ROGHT PEOPLE
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Mar 07, 2011 12:44 PM

every day a few hundreds are murdered in this country by politicians and their thugs - when innocent and right people ask for RTI or oppose the looting of the nation and people .The court (judiciary) ,the police ,the MPs and MLA(Culprits in this case)can do nothing .But the court interferes when suffering people want to end their lives .What a bloody shame.

Court argument for "passive euthanasia doctrine" are unfortunate and cruel when it can permit "passive euthanasia" then why not "active euthanasia" a individual have every right to live with dignity, what court seems to enjoy halal and express sickness.
