Prof Kishore Mahbubani is one of some eliet indian abroad with global vision. But most people in india have never visited any west countries or China so that they don't really know the real situation, and what they talk a lot about China and west seems too narrow-mineded and biased. Call China is india's No 1 enemy means you want to start another 1962 war but how sure you can win this time? At that time both countries were basically at same level of economical and millitery power but now Chian is many times stronger than India. Are you sure this time US is likely to come out to help India but why Us did'nt last time?

even in 1962 the develpment level of india & china was different bcz you shuld not forget the war field was 5000km away from china's elite centre Beijing. india is always trying to compare the two countries, but it forgot the basic fact china was world's only power for thousands of years in human history. today's china is just china comes back to its power which its lost 200 yrs ago. but if you see india, india was never united before the brits came, india was never united under same political regime in its long run history. if second war with china is to come, india is fail again without any doubt.

most people believes what they are told to believe

China is a dictatorship, Chinese people have no freedom, spies everywhere...are these true? travel to China, if you can afford.
I've been to India 3 times, just some examples, I saw how policemen treated poor people on the street, I do not think this is a democratic country.
If you choose believe what you are told to believe, it's your freedom.

Most people here or the Indians living in the West choose to live in lies. You don't have to be upset. These are mind twisted people.
All being said, I sympathize fate of the poor Indian farmers.

ok mr. Donald Chio then convince this to innocent people of Tibet , probably Indian have false assumptions as many from India do not go to China and vice versa , it is India who is providing shelter to Dalai Lama and Tibetans , what prompted your country to invade peace loving Tebetians ? India haven't thought you that and India haven't Invaded any country , but yes if your government unnecessarily claiming the parts of India as there then we definitely object , i suppose u have also been told many things to believe about India , so please go and free Tibet first and then talk , try to follow love and peace which India have thought you long ago in form of Buddhism

I don't know how you get the idea that China is invading Tibet. Tibet was part of China and it is and it will be part of China.

Acutally my friend, Tibet has been a part of china more than 400 years, how long the usa existed? If you want to talk about dalai lama, that's ok, do you konw how this title come from? The title was formly given by the kangxi empirer of qing dynasity of china. And the title of this dalai lama is confirmed by the goverment officer of republic of china before the people's republic of china goverment. so the end of the history lession. And do you really believe dalai lama? do you know the history before your so called "invadion" . do you know it was the young dalai lama who agreed to let tibet become one of province of china? If you have chance and money to visit china , all you questions will be sovled, and tell me what this so called communist country is different from yours.

Kishore is a traitor

The professor seems to be a paid stooge of the Chinese. All that advise should actually go to China who keep on provocating us Indians. When the West gives Nobel Peace prize to dissident Liu Xiaobao, it is natural for China to get angry but when Chinese issue staple visas and support terrorist states like Pakistan against India, we should be patient. God knows how much money has been paid to this traitor

living in singapore the learned professer is over shadowed by the chinese. he is the mouthpiece of Deng. Let India do whats best for us, without being influenced by those who have left india to look for easy life abroad. they are abused, like the indian coolies of silicon valley, but the comforts are greater than self respect. this mental make up is the seed of slavery.

India is not interested in being anti-China. It just wants to get along in the world and mind its own business. Unfortunately, the Chinese are bent upon imposing their hegemony over Asia and think of India as a rival and try every opportunity to destabilize India by supporting people like LeT and Pakistan. How can their be trust when you deliberately aggravate tensions ? Let China show its goodwill by refraining from provocations and then both India and China can grow.

Passed
Depends on Indian Leadership
by Passed on Jan 14, 2011 02:55 AM

If we will fail to protect our borders and our intellectual rights, China will dominate us.

If we show them that we mean business and we will go upto any level to protect ourselves, we will be partners.

So far our leaders have failed to maintain a strong hold on issues and they have missed many chances to use their strategic and economic power to make things better for India on International Level. Hopefully future leaders will be able to do better.
