He was instrumental in introducing and immortalizing some characters and events from the glorious chapters of our history. He reinvented India for not only kids, but also adults. Heart-felt condolences!

Rest in Peace. Like me and million others who grew up in the eighties - your comics Amar Chitra Katha and others have left a profound impact on our conciousness and intellect. We have learnt history not through text books but through ACK.
Thanks a million for your contribution to mother and her children!!

A true icon has passed away. His legacy lives on in the form of ACK Media. He had single handedly entertained, influenced and inspired a whole generation of us Indians through his comics. I salute this great man and pay my humble last respects to the departed soul.

Great Man!

As a school boy I just hated history, specially the mughal chapters. But I loved the comics on our history so much that I would slip a comic into my text book pretending to read it while I was actually reading the comic. This continued till my brother caught me and told my Mother. But thanks to the comics I did pass my subject rather than my text book. I still remember many depictions in the comics and will continue to do so for life. I salute this soul and pray that he finds a better world.
