Uncle Pai
by Anubha Prasad on Feb 25, 2011 01:51 PM

The contribution of Uncle Pai towards upholding and popularising Indian history, folk lores, classical literature & culture is much more than many who swear by them. ACK nourished the young minds by providing knowledge with clean entertainment and inculcated sense of pride in our history & mythology; unlike today's mindless entertainment dished out through the idiot box and video games. Hats off to the creater. You will forever remain in the hearts of kids of 70s & 80s generation.

Tinkle - My favourite read till date
by lamiya mukadam on Feb 25, 2011 01:51 PM

Every few days a doorbell would skip a heartbeat. I used to run to the door and if greeted by the postman, my hungry eyes would search for my bestestest comic- Tinkle. over the years I started reading the tinkle digest and never have got over the soul touching stories, the unforgettable characters and the wonderful world in took me to. I loved Uncle Pai and his magical balm for children all over.

RIP for uncle pai- may the smiles that you have nurtured, laughter that you have rolled out and the joy that you have spread be there in the heavens to greet you ;-)

Legend
by Manu Verma on Feb 25, 2011 01:46 PM

He was one of India's legends. One of the few people in this country who defined India. Through his books we came to know the true history of our beloved country. Our school textbooks as usual to appease some camouflaged the real history.
Rest in Peace Sir...

Uncle Pai's contribution was a lot in developing reading culture in me as a young kid. It is sad that now a days a large number of kids are glued to TVs (including my daughter).

A real gem with an out of Box thinking
by pradeep krishnan on Feb 25, 2011 01:44 PM

He is a real gem to bring out the indian culture and myths and legends the way he has done through picture stories for kids. I owe most of my myth knowledge to him. May you rest in peace. May more people like you be born. May more people be inspired by you. Thank you Uncle PAI
