due to the status of health of economy of his country.Americans are Americans, purely self centred. They express concern about the whole world and take care of themselves. Only decency we would have expected was in his words. He should have used inexpensive in place of cheap.A cure can not be cheap since the life of a patient is at stake and the ultimate result is the same anywhere in saving life. The ambience of the environs and service costs will be different, the results will be the same.
He uses the brains and hands of Indians mostly to originate theideas and practices of his governance, honours them when they leave and talks cheaply on India when the pocket of his country pinches, when the US unemployment, low economy hurt him.

American greed and arrogance will take a long while to come down. They not down, yet
Poor guy! He is in such a slick situation and his healthcare reforms are being so resented here in US that he needs something to explain! What better than poor cheap "India" - Indians are never known to rise and protest! Read this as a different version of the stupidity that our politicians do when they are in a situation - blame or point fingers!
In US, if you look at the salary range for doctors, it is between $100k (starting)-1.7 million. No wonder why all these Indian MBBS holders pack their bags to US and write the qualifying exam (USMLE). If you are planning to do masters or Ph.D., don't do it. It is a waste. There are no jobs for them. The jobs that are available are postdoc jobs with salary ranging from $35k-$42k. Compare that to a doctor, it is just peanuts.
My point is that after getting these fat salaries, the health of the people are not improving. It is getting worse and worse.
I had personal experiences with US health care system. At one time, I went to check cholesterol. The nurse in training took my blood. It was like pricking an animal. The lady pushed the needle as if my body is made of some metal. The lady who went before me was crying when she came out. This may be a minor incident.
But, there are real problems with regards to insurance. I had to remove a molar cyst 2 years back. The primary health care physician referred to a dentist. The dentist after taking the x-ray said that it is partly a medical condition also, but my medical insurance will not be taken by them. So, I have to consult another dentist (around 40 miles from my home). Finally, surgery was conducted after waiting for 2 months. The pain was terrible, both physical and mental.
