surprised!!!
by Indian on Jul 05, 2010 08:12 PM  | Hide replies

I am surprised by the attitude of so many ppl in the forum supporting bandh. here is a simple economics for dvmmies:
more demand / less goods --> more inflation.
even less money with govt after bandh --> even more inflation.

For the last 60 years, the govts were promoting agriculture as the primary source of income depending more and more on Monsoon for employment and revenue. How stupid can they be. A couple of bad Monsoons and now we are in the soup we are in. What do you think the govt. will do after the bandh. Yes, I know, do an "yagya" and spend crores of rupees and then "rain gods" will be appeased and yes there will be better Monsoon next year.

Yes everyone...Bandh will somehow magically make the govt. realise that there is a problem and then the govt. is somehow magically fix the problem for you. Kudos...

let me ask you a general knowledge question: what kind of govt. does china have?
if you cannot decode this..then you deserve the inflation and the bandh.

Bharat Bandh for a couse
by TARUN TRIPATHI on Jul 05, 2010 08:11 PM

Bandh always bring miseries to people and this one was no exception. But the insensitive Govt with no control on prices and corruption need to be sent a message. Scams over scams and rich people becoming richer in this regime.

Why most people in India supported this bandh as this outburst of the people irrespective of the party lines. Hope the opposition to wrong policies of the govt are pointed out and corrective action is taken.

Long live young and educated common people of India.

Bharat bandh to "bandh karo corruption"
by Kiran Parashar on Jul 05, 2010 08:06 PM  | Hide replies

Can a political party ever come forward to organize a bandh against the rampant corruption in India.

Even a marginal reduction in corruption will have a huge positive impact on India.

marie antonnette-the queen said " if they don't have bread to eat ,
let them eat cake !'

This incensed them so much to the apathy and insensitivity of the
rulers they started a revolution that ended up with capture and
chopping of the heads of each one of the high officials.

Its known as french Revolution .....indian mor0ns whine about 1 day
12 hour bandh to protest the insensitive , apathetic M0ron singh

real cause of petrol price rise
by manoj saxena on Jul 05, 2010 08:00 PM

Manmohan ji told few days back that it was necessary to raise the prices. He is right, Madam ji had promised Mukesh Ambani during Lok sabha elections that she will insure reopening of reliance petrol pumps and also eliminate the competetion from govt. owned oil companies. Now Manmohan ji has to honour that commitment. This price rise will insure huge profits to RIL and govt. owned oil companies will die their natural death in 3 to 5 years. Govt. intervention, treatment for MPs in Taj or five stars, over drawn salaries and huge overhead expenses will insure that.

The price rise in eatable commodities over last 6 months is very high. Is it VASOOLI by merchants of the huge election funds. People are not able to buy any vegetable beeloe Rs. 80 per kg.
Does this government want us to eat crows & tree leaves? Has Congress any other programme other than worshiping Sonia & Rahul? Mr. Manmohan Singh is an utter failure. If they think Rahul Gandhi is the answer to all questions then make him PM at once. Let him also prove to be a failure so that people will try for another alternative. This is the time when a national government is required.
