we should not allow this govt to come into power who is much more interested in Hiking their powers and salaries rather than looking to ease common man for the skyrocketing price rise in india. i don't think they deserve to come in power again as india needs a fresh start avoiding such politicians.
Fuel price hike is required. period. Our country cannot continue to subsidise fuel prices and lose all the gains that we have made through our economic growth which should ideally be spent on infrastructure, education and health. The country can afford this fuel price hike today and we should not leave this problem for the future.

I am not filthy rich and I understand your anguish. The problem is that our own people are hoarding and causing artificial price rise. The food infation is coming down and the monsoon will bring the food prices down further.

Madam, Subsidy is paid by the govt from the tax money paid by the people. Not from the wealth accumulated by rich people like u. And the subsidy is also for poor who cannot afford much. Only with the subsidy your & your family wealth increases while the poor struggles to buy even that. Dont be ignorant about the poor living beside you. Try to be humane. Not selfish like Congress Cannibals.

One sec in India you can NOT become a farmer if your parents or forefathers are not farmers, so essentially the option is only one Eat Less :-) F.u.c.k these stupid policies.

You are rich and you don't bother where you get all money from your uncle's in oil well. What about people who work for daily bread. Stop sending such non-sense and funny slogan.
This is the complete failure of the government. The prices are increasing rapidly. thereis no control. We are getting adultrated pulses who cares. When adulterated pulse can reach to the lunch table of PM. who are we the common people. Howewer bandh is not a solution, but how can we resist the price hike.
No government has been able to improve basic infrastructure like security, roads, drainage, cleanliness, law and order, industrialization and unlimited corruption. When foreigners visit our country and feel the pathetic infrastructure we feel embarrassed and blushed. Almost every commodity has been encircled by heavy duties and taxes. For services there are exhorbitant service taxes and everything is constantly increasing. 545 Members of Parliament are treating 110 crore population as slaves. We are really helpless in controlling government people stomach which is bigger than space. We lack unity. Worst hit is the common man who has to suppress his anguish and anger and suffer. Bandh will only gift government losses and induce them to further increase prices. What to support and what to not... People in government have deaf ears.
'Bandh'(STRIKE) is a kind of political protest to show disagreement with the government. It's used as a weapon in a democratic country. It wouldn't be right to judge if a bandh is right or wrong. But the way the Oppositon's call for a nationwide strike to protest against price rise is an empty gesture. It is self-evidently a way to score brownie points by each one of the score and more political parties, and it should be a matter of close calculation as to which party will garner the most points. Apart from the fact that strikes do not serve any rational purpose, there is also the need to think again about this whole business of political protest. While open rallies and marches are indeed the way to mobilise public opinion, it is open to question whether forcing other people to close shops or desist from work is legitimate. When the Supreme Court and other High Courts have declared strikes(BANDHS) illegal, they did not intend to question the right to protest as much as the right of the protesters to force others into it. The distinction is important. Democracy implies public expression of dissent, but it does not allow that people who do not want to participate in it be forced to do so. ---JAVED REHMAN KHAN Film-Maker
