The gr8 MSV is yet to recieve any recognition bcos he didnt score any hindi films...MSV and AR Rahman are equally gr8 and genius in their generation, tho i rate both of them a notch below Illayaraja, but it is heart wrenching to see a legend ignored...

Illayaraja is the first Asian composer to score a symphony for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a gold medalist from Trinity College of Music, London, and has composed over 4, 500 songs and provided film scores for more than 900 Indian films in various languages in a career spanning more than 30 years.

fool...dont u dare critise illayaraja..he is not the type to go around for world tours for intl publicity like u moron bollywood ppl..he has been invited by many european and american music academies and he ahda performed there without any publicity...he doesnt know hindi so he s not composing many hindi films..and i ll b happy if he doesnt bcos u retards cant understand his music genius...

Illayaraja is a genius, Sure and AR Rahmaan is a genius too you dont have a measuring device to gauge each of the where illayaraja has captured tamil hearts so does rahmaan gained indian and as well as international acclaim. So we treat each of them with respect instead of comparing them. r

The fact is that people supported by the corporates and powerful politicians are getting these awards.
So, these awards have lost their importance as they are bought or get as appeasement, not won. Remember last year some cricketers had insulted these awards and preferred to go for shooting of comercial ads instead of accepting these awards.
Awards to celebrities like Amir, Rahman, Sehwag, film stars is under pressure from various lobbies and to bring glamour to the function as well.
