The greatest civilian awards which have been instituted to honour people for extraordinary service are being thrown around. To get one, you just need to know where they are being thrown. Unfortunately the politicians and bureaucrats get to know first and then pick them up for their benefactors. The government has no guts to stop bestowing these awards if they cant find people who are trustworthy. On the contrary the engage in the bigger crime of creating these individuals who really do nothing, award them and thereby project them as models before us. phew...i cant believe it.
For his tireless efforts into changing the stonecultbeliefs of people near somnathtemple ghori should be honoured with bharatratna. hats off to his bravery,social service,tireless hardworking.
Just like IPL auction, all these awards should also be auctioned so that money and mussle powered people can easily grab them. Film industry is given importance more than it deserves. Govt. has forgotton all the ledgents and running after new generation. Awards are for what you have done and not a promotional exercise.
