Vote capturing
by Ramdas Nayak on Jan 21, 2010 10:25 AM  | Hide replies

All these dirty vote capturing tactics of Mah Govt will definitely boomerang shortly if other States decide to ban Marathis to take any jobs in their State. The norms are ridiculous and against the secular image of the Country.

There is nothing wrong in giving some advantage in lower end work to the localites. But when it comes to higher jobs like recruiting doctors, engineers, scientists, MBAs, then there should not be any such restrictions. But while recruiting clerks, Grade-4, drivers etc., localites should be given preference. After the growth of any industry should first cater to the local population.

There are poor people in every section of the society and they will do that job.

Just answer one question... If you have so much talent and you are so hardworking, then why dont you go and develop your own state instead of giving us the gyan?

Why so much ruckus
by swapnil patil on Jan 21, 2010 10:18 AM  | Hide replies

The clause of Domicile (15 years) exists everywhere in India for a lot of things. Why have this concept of local address, domicile etc at all...why do i need a local address proof for everythiung.

besides Domicile means even nonmarathis in mumbai get the license. Even UPites or Biharis born here. so i think its right step to define domicile by time rather than language,

there are a lot of things to look at . but ppl will only create an issue out of a non issue.
coz its Marathi...

they shld make marathi, hindi and english mandatory for everyone.Taxi drivers should know these three languages in Maharashtra. in other states Hindi english andf the local language there

you dont want to become the one you want to remove. the bandhua mazdoor mentality on basis of language if not caste.

Re: Why so much ruckus

restriction are ok, Kasabs would need visa before attacking, that is fine.

but with current restriction, it will make mumbai very backward if it is not handled the proper way...

first get the language clause out of it...

The wealth of Mumbai or Ms is not created by NCP or MNS. The banks based in Mumbai or Film Industry everything from stock market to automobiles are consumed all over India to create wealth. If a total Boycott takes place of any product services from Ms theMarathi manus will come for drivers job in Bengaluru Hyderabad Delhi Noida Ahmedabad etc.
