Not just womanizer but corrupt man also. He vehemently defended Kofi anan and his son in the oil for food scam. Eventually Kofi's son was indicted by the inquiry committe. So Tharoor has a history of being corrupt and supporting corrupt people and its not surprizing to find him caught in another corruption story. Check out NYTimes, Washington post archives to learn how close Shashi was of being indicted in that scam.

sasi Tharoor may be cose to being inducted, but in the end was NOT inducted.
The same cannot be said for Lalit Modi. Check out newspaper archives to see that in 1985 he was CONVICTED in US for drugs trafficking, attempted murder and kidnapping.

Tharoor should learn the art of Benami or Scam from other politician in the parliament there are many irrespective of party Congress,BJP,Left and others who did scams without resging from the post , in 3 decades of UN job there was no scandal for him , soon he entered inidan politics he surrounded by controvarsies , one surprised to see some calling him unfit to be minister , but it is also fact there so many MPs who even cant get a job of gatekeeper in UN and some not even toilet cleaner
