Students of Management learn - "No matter how incompetent a system and no matter how competent an individual, if the individual goes onto a collision course with the system; 99% of the time it is the system which will win".
All systems in the world (whether nations or commercial organisations) seem to suffer from innate inertia, they are lethargic, splendidly boring and refuse to change.
But every system has its own internal dynamics. It will accept change but at its own pace.
Tharoor was a man in a hurry, ordained by god to change all that came his way. Finally he lost his way and was shown the way out.
This will not be the end of opportunities for him, if only he appreciates the virtues of PATIENCE. He has got to stick on, prove his loyalty to the organisation; he will be rewarded again albeit in a much more mellowed and mature avatar.

its actually a case of misfit Tharoor is too sophisticated and educated for this crude, dehati politicians. To add to it a girlfriend in arm
All rubbish allegations against him... his only fault his he has no lobby to support him.. no one is pointing out upon his work? only on his personal lifestyle? and it's not a crime to live in five star that too with his own earned money?? neither to fly in business class.... and as far as supporting anyone of his friend is concern it's not a crime? the only fault is people were jealous in his own party of his success.. and his fan following.. that's it.. it's a SAD day for Indian politics.. anyone who is having a open thoughts.. can analyse this easily...

Naseer, nobody can help a person who cant help himself and does not know how to behave differently in New York and New Delhi.

But Imtiaz, he had a flair for getting into troubles, conjuring up controversies at the drop of a hat. He was given enough chances earlier too, his tweets and his gaffes...so many..yet he never learned and got into another scupper which finally brought him down. He should have focussed more on work than on tweets and events.

Jake - you are correct. He made a fool of himself by constantly courting controversy. The top leadership cannot be blamed for having not given him the best chance. But what he makes of it depends entirely on him. In this case he made a fool of himself.

He would have survived, but the Congress was finding it difficult to defend him for the nth time. So much of Parliament time was getting lost on just him and his issues. He got a good chance to show his worth but he ended up showing his many cranky misdemeanors. As a West bred educated man, one expected him to prove his maturity but sadly he did not. That is the biggest loss for the nation needs sophisticated kind of politicians like him.

The party gave a professional outsider like him a fair chance to serve the country. That success went over his head is a different matter.
The Congress also went about his removal with perfect professionalism. This is something about the Congress, when somebody crosses the line - be it a veteran like Natwar Singh or a novice like Tharoor - they go about it fairly but very quickly. Their decision making process is such that any inclination to rebel gets punctured.
Decades at governance has made them perfect with their internal systems.

Come off it, Chandran, Advani is in the evening of his career and life as well. What will he gain by casting an eye on Tharoor and his gal?
Sashi understood little about his people, not to speak of indian politics! Too many errors and no achievements makes him a liability for govt and party.

there were no errors as fas as I followed him. He twitted about holy cows which is a perfect english usage. what caught the Jayanti Natarajan's goat was that she did not understand what he was talking about and thought that he called Soneeaahh and Priyankee the holy cows.
Re: his one and only one mistake

Yes he did not take schooling from Bofors veterans but wanted to make as much money as Bofors.
Why was he doing gochcha. He lost his innocence by doing that. That was his only mistake. Other mistakes listed in this article are not important. He came to power to rule and not serve. Nobdy will back him.
There are more murky and dangerous scandals and crimes committed by almost all the political parties in India. Some came out openly and some have not due to intelligent politics of politicians. As someone said, intelligent and corrupt people are potential danger than inefficient and honest.
Whatever Mr. Tharoor has done, he had not kept it uncovered, and he had openly spoken and declared. Whenever he had a point to the things happening around him he was sensitive and responded to it in the way he was trained all these years in the international organisation. It is a pity that his language on twitter was not understood by many senior politicians, bureaucrats, and journalists. Our media is also equally ignorant and illiterate (Unfortunately, many of our North Indian journalists do not know primary school geography, for them, every south Indian is a Madrasee. In their eagerness to broadcast the news, they do not know how much social damage they are doing. For example, they went on broad casting and speculating that if Sunanda foregoes her stake, Tharoor might get some reprieve. Who told them this? How can it be possible? What are the basis principles of criminal administration? They simple did not care.
It may not be taken as a support to congress party, but congress has the history of owning moral responsibilities. In the resent past take the cases of Shivraj patil, ND Tiwari, Natwar Sing etc. How many such incidents are there in other parties? We need not repeat the
