Mr Lalit Modi has had a trail of failed ventures and defaults till four years back but has a lifestyle now that includes a private jet, a luxury yacht and a fleet of Mercedes S class and BMW cars all acquired in the last three years.

Modi has silent ownership in three IPL teams—Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab

Cattle class Indians, which we indeed are - Tharoor was right
by Amreesh Reddy on Apr 19, 2010 11:53 AM  | Hide replies

This guy was not fit for Indian Politics. Possibly before landing into Indian Politics he should have taken a lesson or two from Our beloved Mayavati, Mamta, Lalu, Reddy Brothers.

He didn't understand that we Indians don't like someone giving the candid opinion. When he said we most of the people(Indians) are "Cattle Class" (which we indeed are), he couldn't imagined that Indians won't like it - because we like buttering and pampering and die a death of a beggar, instead of working towards becoming better and live a positive and decent life.

Alas! we Indians should have considered it in a positive way and started working to become better than cattle class. But that's not the Indian to think positive

Tharoor and politics

Bush thought that Tharoor was too immature to be UN secretary general and PM thought he was too much of a novice to be cabinet minister and made him only minister of state. But Tharoor thought he was too important a person to keep a low profile and started pedalling and freewheeling marginal entities like Sunanda who started feeling she is already a super star with a booty of Rs.70 cr given by Tharoor. But what happened due to grred - she lost Rs.70 cr and he lost the ministryship and both of them may go to Dubai and cool their heels in the hot desert of Dubai.

different congress with better moral
by spring on Apr 19, 2010 11:43 AM

1. congress show inefficiency old leader door despite they are closed to nehru family. ex natwar and arjun singh, marget alva, manishkar

2. MMS given second chance to lead country. If sonia wished she could have been PM during UPA1 and rahul during second term. right move and good for country.

3. Congress cleaning corrupt and criminal within party. Congress can't take against alliance because of minority government. for ex raja from DMK. they did try during UPA-2. They are giving chance to candidate with clean image. corruption charge Koda, ditching sibhu Soren and criminal charge against sajjan kumar are the example

4. Congress is slowly avoiding corrupt lalu, BSP, SP and anti indian communist. It is up to people who you select to rule. If you keep elect criminal and corrupt, big national party can't help. they have to form government with worst party only. we are reflection of the political party.

5. I agree UPA-1 was worst and didn't do well as expected. they won election because there were no alternative. this time during UPA-2, they have given important cabinet to eligible ministers who can make some difference.

6 Congress is definitely waiting to cr NCP, and party leader Power to crush. i can see they are not enjoying relationship with them. they can't help if marties still vote for him.

7. Congress didn't do politics on naxalite issue despite the problem is from bjp and communist rule states
8. congress didn't misuse 367 article to dismiss any state govern

Another MEA 'link' in Kochi IPL team?

Headlines Today Bureau
New Delhi, April 15, 2010

The IPL Kochi team controversy appears to be deeper than imagined. After the Shashi Tharoor-Sunanda Pushkar row, Minister of State for External Affairs Preenet Kaur's OSD Hemant Kotalwar has been linked to a free stakeholder in the Kochi team.

Hemant's brother Jayant Kotalwar has a 1.6 per cent stake in the team. The value of Jayant's equity is around Rs 5.8 crore.

But Hemant has strongly denied any link with his brother's business deals. Hemant told Headlines Today that Jayant knows Shailendra Gaekwad, the CEO of Rendezvous Sports which has a stake in the Kochi team.

Hemant maintained he was not on talking terms with Jayant and had nothing to do with the commercial dealings of his brother.

"Just because a name is there, how can you find a link to the government? For my brother it is a commercial thing. And it has nothing to do with the government. We are not on talking terms," Hemant said.
