Please be cool. First study and understand politics. Please do not criticize the leaders habitually. Be matured. OK?
Gandhi, I mean MK Gandhi, is no longer relevant in India. The new generation hardly knows anything about him. When a school boy was asked what was the single most achievement of Gandhi, he answered " He gave a holiday on Gandhi Jayanthi" . The only relevant Gandhi are Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

The ignorance of the present generation cannot make Gandhi irrelevant today. So do not blame Gandhi for the ignorance of the present generation. He was a great leader. Please tell me what has Rahul contributed till now?

You Are absolutely right. Gadhi is irrelevnt to India now. He stood for truth, we for lies and more lies. He stood for non-violence, we are the most bellicose people. He stood for tolerance, we are the most intolerant. He stood for cleanliness in public life, we are the most corrupt.
LET US FACE IT--WE ARE HYPOCRITES AND GANDHI IS NO LONGER RELEVANT. LET US END THIS OBSSESSION WITH THE OLD GANDHI WHEN WE HAVE RAHUL GANDHI ND SONIA GANDHI AND PRIYANKA GANDHI AND HER KIDS> THERE IS NO FEARTH OF GANDHIS IN INDIA,

Mr. Rajesh Vyas, you are right at a deeper level. But you are too pessimistic. Why don't you learn to 'see' what is good in peaple around you? Please learn to see positive aspects.
gandhi wud hav done good things for the country but that doesnt mean that we need to buy his scrap.. for a huge money .. which wud help millions of poor in india...

How immature you are to say the great man's belongings as scrap? Can you throw the spectacles used by your grand father or your great grandfather? We are expected to be more responsible while air views on public domain.

wise thought. Spend the money on bringing drinking water to a village or pay for a poor child's education.
There has to be growth of self awareness first if we want to remove the choase from street make india a developed nation. There are organisation like land mark forum and many other working on war footing to bring that revolution. There is one world wide ornanisation called non violant communication (NVC) also called compassionate communication. We should promote this organisation in india. their training is very very practical and it helps you on work, relationship, family or building society. they offer it free. u can check on cnvc.org thanks.

Landmark Forum is nothing but pop psychology. It gets 300 people into a room, denies them food and toilet breaks and gets others to force their mates to tow their line. It is a scam which people fall for willingly and once deceived feel ashamed to speak out.
Some years back when I visited Gandhi .... Prashithan in New Delhi, I did not get to see two of his prominent assets - his spectacles and his Ingersol watch. On enquiry the caretaker staff told me that while shifting the museum to its present site, these items had been stolen. It shocked me. How could someone have the heart to steal assets of the man who lived and died for truth and rightousness? Never did I think at that time that our government, professing to be the flag beareres of the Mahatma, could be disinterested in protecting and preserving the memoirs of the father of the nation. It stands proven today. None from our govt. cares to contact James Otis to acquire the effects available with him despite the news being public for long. Rules of good governance need something like 42nd Amendment.

I am surprised as to how you were able to expect for spectacles and his ingersol watch? In case your story is true, I would like to say yours is the most serious response of all. Why don't bring this to the notice of the right people, including Mr. Otis. Regards.
