But Death is THE END. Nothing survives death. Nobody has come after death to tell us the stories in heaven/hell.

Prakash, if you did not know him, it does not mean that others did not know him.
Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, son and disciple of Ustad Alauddin Khan (now don't tell me that you never heard of Ustad Alauddin Khan, because he is probably the greatest of all you can imagine) was literally the flag-bearer of Maihar gharana.

are u this confused all the time or just jealous that u cannot live his life??living ones personal life is in what way related to professional life....not to mention he was conferred upon that title for his prof achievement, not how he lived his personal life.....

Poor guy Prakash Sharma, You lack general knowledge. Ustad Ali Akbar Khan's casettes are available in music shops. Take one or two and listen, You will also call him Maestro.

its so shameful that without knowing the facts.. people start boasting of their knowledge. May God give prakash some intelligence and common sense.

Could you just tel me which music shops. Now one keeps casettes they say all old fashioned and the music recoreded earlier days were bad.So one sells. If could tell me then i will borrow first then buy.
Khan sahab, aap ko india salam karta hai! he and bismillah khan were not men, but jewels of india. and the magic of the gems is that, even after death, they will keep shining eternally, because the divine realm of music they created is immortal! my salam to khan sahib once again! May God grant eternal peace and bliss to his soul in Heaven!
Please note.Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is not the son of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Ali Akbar ji is the son of Ustad Allaudin khan and his Sister Annapoorna was married to Pt.Ravi Shankar.

Mahato, please read Ashok's message carefully. He said, Annapoorna "was" married to Pt Ravi Shankar.
Ustad Allauddin Khan's daughter, Annapoorna was Pt Ravi Shankar's first wife.

Bade Bhai, I hope all of you read the news well before commenting,it is a great insult to our artists to mix them up. I clearly mentioned that Annapoorna ji WAS married to him ,now he is married to Sukanya ji.Hope I am clear.

Anoushka was born to Sukanya Ranjan a Carnatic vocalist and her famous father while Sukanya was still married to another man. Ravi Shankar married Sukanya when Anoushka was 7 years old and they moved to California, where they have been living ever since .

haha, Mr. Righteous, People of India have regards for him because they don't wanna be like u, a hypocrite (who has achieved nothing in life) who would jump at the 1st offer to go to the US, and crying like a baby because u couldn't go to the US, grapes are sour, aren't they??

Mr. Ghosh, not every one is eager to go and settle in USA. Majority of Indians would like to RULE in he11 than to SERVE in heaven. Have you heard of IIM Graduates selling green-vegetables in Bihar or Idli in Chennai? There are any number of opportunities in India for those who have the ability. Now don't presume that I was turned away from the gate of US Consulate!!!!!!!
