Some bullshit. Can you elaborate what obstacles he faced? Why do you rake up unnecessary stuff and drive wedges into society?

Just because he was minority he got all Padma awards. If he were majority community, they would have ignored him. Our Secular Congress govt. has recognised him with all kinds of awards. Why do you open up your petty "muslim" mind.
I send my heartiest condolences to the bereaved family. He was superb at it -unmatched even by his well known son Ustad Amjad Ali. Among the vocalists Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and instrumentalist Ustad Ali Akbar Khan would always remain the greatest doyens of Indian classical music.

Thats why the majority in your country are doing what they are capable of - such as Swat, Mumbai blasts. In India they can do such respectable stuff as music, films, education etc.
He was all of 6 years old, when Amjad Ali Khan gave his first recital of Sarod. It was the beginning of yet another glorious chapter in the history of Indian classical music. Taught by his father and guru, the great Haafiz Ali Khan of Gwalior, Amjad Ali Khan was born to the illustrious Bangash lineage rooted in the Senia Bangash School of music. Today he shoulders the sixth generation inheritance of this legendary lineage.

He looked butt-ugly. Wonder, why the firang married him! Firangs are crazy. Anyway, he is gone - another sapoot who chose to live in the Pink City SFO. May his sole rest in piece!
