its really dishertaning to bury a loved one where your garbage is dumped. In a country like India where the living ones and too only humans even are not getting the facilities then what you can say they will do for the dead. Although we have our busy lives but only we ourselves have to take initiative in this direction to help improve the situation. no one else will do for your child except you yourself

What a horrible shame, no surprise it is in India's crime capital - Delhi. How sad, how sickening.... how dare this be allowed to happen? Shame on India - shame on the civil administration, Shame on Sheila Dixit. There is absolutely NO dignity at the end. How horrifying..... how can this low level pathetic country be considered an economic superpower? SHAME. On one hand you have Marwaris burning brides for insurance (a well known LIC caution), and we also have this. Sick bastards.

YOu are right. Including the president of the country is so busy preaching the greatness of India all over the world. The country is screwed up beyond repairable condition. But Indians are busy comparing the country with USA, UK etc.. Some donkeys even come up with reasons for why India should be considered BETTER than the rest of the world !!! Recently I saw a fool writing on rediff forum about ALL INDIANS CELEBRATING LIFE !!! As long as these donkeys keep their big mouth open, ( including the top idiots like INDIA SHINING organisers, Chitambaram who compare India with developed nations ) India will not improve. The peanuts have to humble down and accept that the country is not that great, lot of work to be done to make it great.

I know many great countrymen will now start critisizing me and start calling me names. Because I just wrote how dirty is the country which ( in their foolishness ) they think is the greatest nation on earth. Many will now start, Sameer, please dont do this. India has positives and negatives, every country has negatives, USA is dirty, Hong KOng is dirty etc.. etc.. They are the very people who are responsible for the pitiful condition of the country. They simply refuse to accept that a dirty place needs to be called a dirty place. They try to prove that there are places which are dirtier !!!!

Very sad & embarrasing
by Mukesh Garg on May 15, 2007 11:33 PM

Govt of any country simply reflects the mindset of average people of that country. Having said that, I will assume that we people are irresponsible for what is happening coz those who are working in that cementary (drunked) are also among us. They are the ones who are not doing their duty honestly. No doubt that Govt has to check these things and correct the problems, but at the same time we all need to change ourselves to be more honest, dedicated to our job and responsible to our society.

Memorial services
by Ram Kakulawaram on May 15, 2007 11:05 PM

I am surprised that City like Delhi does not have managed cemeteries which is affordable to a middle class family. For example, in USA we have privately managed cemeteries like the one in this url. http://www.forestlawn.com/ . May be its time for somebody to start one. If the real estate prices are high and if it is difficult to aquire land they can establish it out side the city. All you need is few acres of land, place for traditional cremarium(with the option of electrical cremarium), and make plots of size of 20sqft's to have a memorial with dignity.
