Let me admit, Am not goan, still felt , when Rane wanted to cash in by selling Goan enviornment. sorry, We citizens of India just go by caste, religion & creed, thinking only about us. Shame re. because they r told . U , me & others on this board r secular thro lences put on us by Advani, Sonia. lets remove those lenses. Stock market buzz, some ppl made money. are we among them ? economy booming. any one of us benifit ? Hehe Idid. jokes apart. I get my 2 roties & daal with some chilly & onion exactly thrice than I paid in 2003. thats what chidambarams & arjunsinghs have done by filling coffers of sonia's . & U ppl are discussing Aam Adami ? shame re. > Bhaskar chattopadyay,in his original message,has a valid point. Only that, the original point he made is no longer discussed. Instead what we have now is 2 guys' views against one ! Not Good ! Lets go back to Bhaskar's original point, which is to avoid being "directed"(and not just influenced) by a religious institution like a church to cast a "DEMOCRATIC" vote. Now thats not only wrong, its also damaging to the diversity that exists in Goa. In any case, at politics level, there's much less difference b/w congress or BJP....internally, both want just one thing...Power...however, their external (though fake) propaganda are different. Now its more of an option than a choice to decide b/w them. My personal experience opines that BJP is a lesser evil (here i go starting another debate !! sigh), not because its a 'hindu' party, but bcoz, the goonda-raj of congress is only a shade in BJP.
Summary -> Lets not be influenced by religious institutions. And if there's no choice but evil, then why not vote for a "lesser evil". Right Bhaskar ?

@whisperingwind : True. COngress is rallying Minorities religious, thus doing far greater damage to secularism.
Its very bad for social tolerance. Xtians are now increasingly been seen as part of congress whose leader is an italian catholic. Also cong's role in upholding hindus rights (real an perceived) is under enormous cloud.
All these make Indian Society more intolerant.
Xtians unlike Muslims are scattered all over India, and naturally will face more hostility on day to day life.
PLEASE NOTE: NEHRU, did never pander to religious groups. This is being done by Congress as its looosing political space.
END RESULT IS: COngress's policies are recipe for disaster.
