Vote on Communal line
by Srinivas on Jun 05, 2007 07:25 PM  | Hide replies

In this forum many christians supported Congress on communal line and they say them self as Seculars. If christians are secular they would have neglected the Church support and voted who ever is the best candidate. Christians didn't do this instead voted Congress on comunal line by hearing Church. This is great demacracy.

Aur keya.

Church has become emboldened. Casteists have become emboldened.

Congress's wooing of Church for Vote IS DESTROYING SECULARISM.

AND MAKE NO MISTAKE, PEOPLE ARE HARDENING THEIR STAND AGAINST CHURCH.

Church in UP is nonexistant.

So, COngress pandered to Mullahs (Rahul's skullcap appearance in Deobond, remember?) in UP.

Bottom line is: this religious pandering by Congress is going to embolden, rationalize Hindutva in Indian politics.

You are voting primarily based on your religious identity, but oppose when Hindus do that as 'communal'.

This double standard is not going to continue for long.

Brahmin is a intolerant Religion
by Jeya Kumar on Jun 05, 2007 07:18 PM  | Hide replies

I have read the Manusmriti and Vedas.
It is written in Manu Chapter 4 : verses 20 that Brahmins are intolerant creature and lust for power.

In Rig Veda it is written Brahmins should be Greedy and all other caste are their slaves.

Yajur Veda say Brahmin should not worship Idols and lot of Other 33 crores of diety as my Hindu culture do. Brahmins worship only FIRE.

As we seen in last Punjab, election: BJP didn;t play Religious card, rather Congress played it.

Same thing happened in Goa. Church openly came out and asked its flocks to vote for BJP and oppose BJP.

All in the name of secularism. What's going on folks? Who is damaging secularism? Its Congress or BJP?

Not only in Goa, Church is so emboldened today, their religious leaders give direct sermon to vote for Congress or oppose BJP in Jharkhand
by Bhaskar Chattopadhyay on Jun 05, 2007 07:09 PM  | Hide replies

We know what role is played by Dumka's Archbishop during Jharkhand elections.

No secular country tolerate this blatant aggression of Roman Catholic Church on democracy. Neither India will.

Yes, Congress may be winning with help of Church. But its creating more divide in the society.

Don;t rally minorities in the name of religion, divide Hindus along caste ALL IN THE NAME OF SECULARISM.

Because that destroyes secularism.

The ONE reason for the rise of BJP is what I wrote above. Congress, CPIM have been doing that, and now its out of control.

People have not voted for Congress .. What is all this hullabaloo....
by Sanjay Reddy on Jun 05, 2007 07:06 PM

I dont when Congress has not won, how are people saying it has won. It is dependant on others to form the government. Like in the center where it does not have the sanctity to even rule even in goa which is always a horse trading state, its not worth discussing the result. Atleast BJP got 14 on its own which is what Congress has also won. Banking on NCP it wants to rule, so let it rule but if it says it has won power let it be known that people have not voted it to power in Goa. We will have the most illiterate Jayanthi Natarajan and the media hype this victory out of proportion. A punjab , uttrakhand matters but a goa - well its inconsequential. And most importantly Sonia and Rahul did not campaign. If they did they would have got less.

Which law in India says that a president has to seek the support of the political parties to decide on the clemency petitions ? It is completely the decision of the President. No one can support anything if the president rejects the clemency petition.

Those who claim Congress's win in Goa is ''secularism'' are doing damage to Secularism
by Bhaskar Chattopadhyay on Jun 05, 2007 06:52 PM

Xtian Church openly asked voters to vote for Congress and there are people claiming COngress's "win" in Goa is Secularism.

Its typical COngress double talk who rally minorities in the name of Religion and divide Hindus along caste - all in the name of "secularism". For Example, Nehru didn;t need to do this. And according to liberal historians like Prof G Gopal, this is the root cause of unraveling of Secularism in India in last 2-3 decades.

First of all shame on you to call your own countrymen as people of Vatican. Christians are as much a part of the Indian culture as anyone else. Just because you happen to be a brahmin it doesnt give you a certificate of patriotism. Infact the Brahmins have been the worst betrayers and perpetrators of heinous crimes against humanity.

So if Gujarati voter votes on communal lines does he become less Indian? BJP supporters have this weird idea that if people are not supporting BJP they are not Indian. Then according to this logic 80% Indians are actually not Indians because BJP doesnt even have 20% vote share all over India.
