it is exactly true these students are the people fed by politicians Or the politicians sons stage prform in colleges and then enter into politics. they have money,manipulate judiciary at all levels from police stations to courts what can a poor salry earner like professors and lecturer do a nd where can he stand in front of them I have seen these incidences a number of times in colleges. these people are often from backward castes and for the sake of votes they are supported by local politicians. they dont study they dont come to classes they only show up in the college premises during freshers day to rag juniors,elections or some events but not classes
the govt gives them stipend so they can give their exams as many times they want no hostel fees no hostel rules some politician will be taking care so no police can take action against these people forget about that cases are also not booked against these people when they are involved in antisocial activities like eve teasing,goondaism etc.
I read your article. It is really a shame on the society as no professors or teachers union voice came over this issue. On reading this article I have felt that a day will come when Indian Prime Minister will be Shot Down in our country with many more politician from various different political parties.
Who are supporting these anti-social elements. Now Professor son has two options either he choose official way to get the Justice that is a fun in current Scenario or he will become active member in Crime to get the Justice as both the conditions will lead to his(Professor's Son ) satisfaction or Justice in his view.

Whatever the arguments put forth by the ABVP and the BJP to prove innocence, there is no denying that rot has set in and ABVP once considered a patriotic and virtuous student union has changed beyond recognition, at least in some parts of the country, and is no different or better than NSUI or communist controlled unions. Vajpayee, when asked once, why moral and ethical values are almost extinct in politics had remarked that people come to politics from the society and when these values are eroding in the society, politics can be no better. You have let down all your well-wishers, ABVP, (and the BJP)!Future of Indian politics is indeed bleak!
Having lived a totally discioplined life in Army, cannot forget words of one non-entity like me "wait till you step into civil life, it is jungle outside." I may digress a bit, our political system is overdue for drastic changes. We not only need to lay down Qualifications for entry(as this is being viewed as a career option), establishment of proper training institutes, conduct of regular training cadres, etc but above all total accountability with provision of recall for performance failure. Carrot and stick may not be out of place. National destiny cannot be steered by semi educated people.It is a question of management of our vast resources. We need Management experts and not crowd pullers. Need of the day is people with visionary qualities and capabilities, as otherwise they will be busy renaming streets/towns or seek issues to gain attention as done for Vande Mataram or plan one year long celebration of Gandhi's movement started in 1906. If we as a nation cannot implement simple and logical changes to our system, I agree "Only God can Save India," but God too helps those, who help themselves !!!!
Only Gods must be crazy to save India. The adage is God helps those who help themselves. We donot see any help coming from within. The education system is totally politicised. Both the teachers and the students are deep into politics. There is no doubt about the fact that the students (leaders or chelas) are having total disregard and disrespect to the teachers. The one and the only reason is the Political support they enjoy. Power corrupts and political power corrupts the education system and everything in the society. It is like Parthenium. If you look at this from an angle of pessimism, we are leading the country towards destruction. I think politicians can save India if they donot give their support to the student's politics, teachers politics and criminalisation of eduction system. Save India. Help Help Help!!!
Although the present economic scenario of India at the hands of Manmohan and Chidambaram looks good, it cannot be sustained if persons like ABVP and Ranas take over the rein of the country.Bihar was one of the best administered states in India , but see what happened when persons like Karpoori Thakur, Jagannath Mishra and Laloo took over the reigns. Gone to abyss. India is likely to face the same destinyin 15/20 years from now.Technology and production by it self cannot deliver unless backed by Good Governance.Weep for thy country, beloved countrymen!!!
