What God, which God?
by Bhavya Banga on Sep 02, 2006 03:28 PM

Looking at the state of this world, one wonders does God even exist?

Probably God felt ashamed and committed suicide long back looking at the behaviour of its creations.

politics today

Nice article, I hope the political party understands that goondas should not rule. Or people should understand that goondas are good for themselves only. But they will not do that you know. because they are the rulers and the exploit of rule is such and condition to rule is such that political parties are needing goondas promoting goondas.

Is it wrong only because BJP is involved
by sudheer mahajan on Sep 02, 2006 02:05 PM

Is its wrong only because BJP is involved ,write about the misdeeds abt the Communists trade unions, Bishops who talk of increasing cristian population, of muslim mullas who talk of secession,UPA leaders who then go to see such seccesionist in jail, pass resolutions in trhe assembly to free such people.I agree it is wrong to talk disrespectively to teachers, then what about teachers who take bribes ,sexual favors, to decide on the students life.If teachers are clean & know their subjects then all students respect them.REMEMBER WHEN YOU POINT A FINGER at some body else FOUR FINGERS POINT BACK AT YOU.

Comments on the article

What has been written in article is true to some extent. In India the guru-sishya relations are valued and even new generation also follow this. Good characters are inculcated in childhood by parents, teachers and other elders around teh person. I fell such incidences are not common and seldom happens which cannot be projected as the face of a society. Media should more concentrate on good happenings of society, there is no point of giving more weightage to such incidences which can neither be justified in any way nor can be projected as the face of new generations.
I feel the very ideology of RSS cannot be questioned as the fault lies with followers, truely students who have committed such mistake are not RSS followers in real sense. I request you to please take some positive matters from the society and they should also be highlighted alongwith such non sense episodes so that readers can see two sides of the coins.

Poor Article
by Ranjeet on Sep 02, 2006 01:50 PM

The writer's take on the situation shows utter resignation. Not even a hint of a possible solution.

There are 200 million youth in this country that are generally unhappy with life. They've had BAD schooling and they want to be heard. I don't why the writers insist on villifying the students alone.

The intellectual always takes social order for granted. If law doesn't aid common good, then human beings have enough instincts to take it whichever way possible, make no mistake.

I feel for the family of the Prof who died of the injuries and other Profs that were hurt or insulted. But lets back up for a minute here. I have seen a lot of colleges in the last few months. What I see are extremely incompetent teachers, uncaring management, greedy newcomers who go straight for the big bucks with tutions et all. These teachers have no right invoking any kind of comparisons whatsoever with Golvalkar Guruji. He was a man who would have commanded respect even amongst today's youth.

Majority of my schooling was in 1970s and so plz excuse me for expecting teachers that know their students, invest time, attention and genuinely care for their futures.
