If I recollect properly, it was one of the worst student in my class who entered politics and has already made it big in politics in my town.But more than blaming him,If I look back, I feel people like me and some others who should be blamed more for this.Today if we are feeling bad that bad students and rowdy students are entering politics,why did we "the so called good ones" didn't venture in.Students who are more focussed and strong willed look at Politics as as dirty road to take and leave it to rowdy-students who don't have any career infront of them, to enter the foray.If somebody needs to be blamed for the bad waters in politics,we need to blame the good students for letting the bad, get their way in..I will take a piece of blame here..
Historically India has been a socialist/republic; a massive faliure nonetheless. Here's the problem. Indians as a people are more innovative and capitalistic than anybody else (including the USA). The private sector from infosys to the fishmongers and "bhajiwalas" sporing cellphones have moved ahead by lightyears compared to the almost defunct public sector who still can't manage to fill potholes competently on a small city street. Until the entrepreneurs and academics take back the political scene from the dhoti wearing pan chewing ex student union thugs, nothing will change, and India will become a state within a state where people find riches through the private sector or suffer at the hands of the public sector.
sir, i totally agree with you. But, we can't do much about it , do we have a choice. Till the time "chalta hai" attitude is there , no one can do anything. We people can only talk, as all of us are scared of loosing the election or scared of beaten up. we hide our impotency with the slang like " CHALTA HAI". Long live the king , though kind is already dead.
Sir, In fact Gods have been saving India that is Bharat all along so much so they are tired of sving this land. That is why such atrocities are taking place in our country. I suppose Gods have given a signal for us to wind up all student unions and tell the students to keep off politics. You have quoted only the good examples of student union leaders who have risen to high positions. There are hundreds of bad who were once student union leaders and have risen to power and misusing the same. Once our political parties enter any type of organisation this type of mudrerous tenmdencies creep in. Gods have been over working since Independence while we are ruled and ruined by an 'AdhiNayaka' who started the "Undoing of our Nation" and followed up by his daughter and now by her widowed daughter-in- law. India has been protected and saved many times by many Gods, as they owe a lot to the many Saints and Rishis who had done great Thapasya in the past. But now the time has come for the people of this country to Govern the country without the help of any Elected Members, as Gods and Godesses have quit this land for good.
Everywhere you look in this stinking fetid land, violence and uncivility abounds, from the gutters of the slums to the Parliament. Decorum is a totally alien concept in this land - it's difficult to tell goonda from MLA, as anyone watching the proceedings in the 'peoples house' will find it dificult to believe that those violence-prone hooligans are their representatives, the makers of their laws, the leaders of their nation. The unions are not so much workers reps as they are political parties or their rabble-rousing appendages, and student unions are an extension of this system of hooliganism and violence.
That is what i keep telling to everyone, Now only God can save us and India. It is time our devine supreme nature wants us to pray God, to keep us and our country safe and secured. Now we have to hand over our country to all our God and Godess. Let them take their course. Wait and watch. We must also include to save our nation, in our parayer to god daily. Hope God gives wisdom to all.
it is disgusting to read about the sorry state of affairs in the temples of learning.the single contribution of mahatma gandhi was that he left behind a team of dedicated,selfless and patriotic leaders all over the country and as a result there was ethics in politics soon after the independence. as this aspect of leadership training was totally ignored in later years by the powers that be the situation is grim today.we have criminals in addition to corrupt in parliament and assemblies. yes, god save india!
