As per the hindu beliefs when things get out of hand, when nothing seems to work, when what majority thinks becomes right, when compassion, empathy, social concern etc have no place in our lives , it is time for Kalki to come by and start his job of exterminating evil. Kalki is not due for another 40,000 odd years. I shudder to think how much more we would have degraded as a society by then.
What else can you on the sorry state of Indain Politics. Today while going to my office here at gurgaon ,it was difficult to drive as the path holes on the road were big enough to swallow a cattle.Its a total collapse of ADMINISTRATION in all the state be it Congress or BJP.

First of all please make a fix definition of GURU and SHISHYA, when we talk like this then suddenly old- stereotyped statement rverbrate in mind that SHISHYA should respect GURU, but i wish to say SHSIHYA should repect RIGHT GURU, not guru, I know number of so called TEACHERS who made fun of student's carriers, i see number of news in paper that a so called GURU was detained because he was sexually harrasing his female student, My own school in punjab "shri Mahaveer jain model school" i still remember in 1992 i was there and teachers ...so called GURUS were coming to class and sleep, so what si definition of GURU, just by having a degree [easily availbale for few thousand in india] then having a job [ through paying bribe] one can be called GURU, no , it is not that easy, Guru word is made of two parts "GU" + "RU". GU mean darkness and RU mean LIGHT, guru mean one who bring us to light from darkness, so do you think all GURUs are like this? at present there is a worst-ever "KHICHRI" in parliament, this kind of "gathbandhan" can make no fix decision and will again waste country's 5 year till next elections, they all talk about development but none on the ground, all on the stage.

As they have Traffic Management week, we should have a traditions month......for one month close all bars, no liquor should be sold, no movies, no electricity.....let us live the way India used to be in olden days,/...lighting lanters, and wearing the Indian traditional dresses, dhoti kurta, and well covered dresses.....students respecting guruji's and all the rituatls that we are supposed to do... During the Traffic Mangement week, traffic is well displined....May be this also works...above all, I am sure God will also be pleased with this country and things may turn around.
I agree with what is said in the article. Now it is time that the majority who are suffering silently organize themselves inot a apolitical Forum and fight every highhanded act- be it of the establishment or the opprortunistic valueless politicians. I would be glad if the likes of Medha Patkar, Arundhati Roy, Shabhana, Javed Aktar join such a Forum. Let us not allow India to fall into anarchic ways. I for one would be ready to join such a movement without seeking any benefit but with a will to sacrifice.
we as a society has been witnessing this goonda raj in the colleges, in fact most of the professors know and have faced it every year, but when it shall be getting these people punished even they would fear to come out and say anything, the irony is that inspite of being 15-25 students being shown in the TV footage, only 2 have been arrested
I was very much shocked when I heard the news about Madhav university,Ujjain.we have a good tradition of Teacher-student relationship from olden days.we will worship Teacher as living GOD by saying "Acharya devobhava".There should not be any political involvement in student unions in all educational Institutions.All student unions have to take responsibity that each person must get education in the society.I request all the unions and political parties that dont make Educational Institutes as political base.keep their serenity. It is a nice article thanks to author and rediff.with these type of articles at least we hope some change in the society.
Yaa.... Politics is bad word in India.... They are fooling Aam Janta of India. And still poor Jantha see all this happenings..... Nobody can save India...
But Media is doing good Job... keep it up. It was shameful to CM of MP even after All Indians had seen them cursing Mr. Professor, eventhough CM was giving statement that this is only a Tragedy..... Shame BJP.... Where you forget your values... One side you are pressurising All Public to sing Vande MAtaram and one side your Leader are doing such a cruel act.....Jai Hind
