Mr Praful u have shown the cheapest way on how someone can beg for recognition. Sania Mirza(my fav sportsperson) has gained recognition not because she is a muslim but it was through her sheer hardwork and prayers. And i guess Sania would like to be known as a great indian tennis player and not an indian MUSLIM tennis player. Well i also didn't get ur point in higlighting the achievements of MUSLIM men. Its people like u who wanna divide india on the basis of religion caste and stuff. Lots of great players in the world like serena, venus williams, tiger woods, michael jordan......r they known as great CHRISTIAN players ????? I DUNNO HOW REDIIF ALLOWED A RACIST ARTICLE TO BE PUBLISHED. SANIA IF NOT WILL BE THE GRATEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD AND I MEAN THE GRATEST INDIAN TENNIS PLAYER AND NOT A MUSLIM PLAYER.
It does not matter that Sania, A P J Kalam, Zakir Hussain belong to Muslim, but it matters if anybody(including Hindus) keeps religion above nationalism. We are part of secular country so why even this question? We have always applauded whomsoever has kept the 'Mashal' up. For me both are equally great Sania or Rajyavardhan(Shooter who won Silver Medal in Olympics).
My daughter brought me a internet printout wherein sania"s photo was printed and told me that she is of my name and how brillant sheis in sports since than she started to collect photos of sania and kept them in album. her age is 9 years and her name is also saniya Malik born in jeddah saudia Arabia belong to the kashmir india.not only she is your fan but entire family is fan of sania Mirza and wishing her prosperios future in events to come.
I dont think that Sania's performance is needed to prove's Indian muslim's nationalism..But comments from some readers is interesting: When some terrible people from Muslim community does something wrong, they try to bring out his religion as basis of wrong doing..I can name these readers.. But today when a girl from Muslim community does something good, they are after Praful Bidwai for bringing out her religion.. Its a bit of hypocricy..More shameful they are our educated mass.. Nevertheless, religion should not be the basis of any judgement. Rather economic and social conditions prevails over one's success or failure..
What does the author want to convey besides exhibiting his hatred for BJP-how are a little girls achievement and his dislike for BJP connected. This is a pathetic attempt to discredit BJP. His dislike for a party is OK, if he backs up with some useful information that teaches us some history or provides some cultural or literary value. Does he mean this girl or the list he provided are achievers despite BJP?-if so, let us have the instances where BJP stopped her progress? Vijaya Kumar
