The article is really a good one and I personally feel that Mrs. Sonia Gandhi has taken the right dicision regarding the selection.Because their is a wise saying:-every thing fair in love n war.Here war symbolised the dirty Politics and love Symbolised The Great sacrifice of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi.
You are right in parts Mr. Gokhale. But the key reason for rejection of the prime ministerial office stems from one fundamental reason. The congress cannot form a government on its own, with only 144 seats. That makes it vulnerable to pressures from coalition partners. It would have been been completely different if the Congress had won in excess of 220 seats.
Dr Singh is an acceptable sacrificial goat for the dynasty. A thorough gentleman and highly accliamed academic. So if the allies pull down the government, which they are likely to do, as the congress has done on two occassions earlier, we are likely to see Sonia Gandhi make her claim for what she believes is the rightful legacy. It is not going to be a very patient wait for us Indians to see that happen. Regards. Salauddin

nations openion is to become sonia as a prime minister .so all are liking to sonia want to became a prime minister.it is very shame politics.manmohan singh as a prime minister peoples will not accept.
The decisiion earned her enormous respect and simpathy even from enemies.
This is a wise decision rather than facing the litigation which already filed before Supreme Court questioning about her citizenship and loyalty towards india though eventually she can bring an ordinance to change these laws if she would have become primeminister but those will not earn any name or sympathy.
Dr. singh is not a political person so he did not know the fox trick of other politicians. Being bearucatic he is always to be reported to senior unless he is not honest and loyal he would not have reached upto this stage, so he has good morale and character. These will never make him think of supercede sonia gandhi.
