Jaundiced view
by Mark on Mar 23, 2004 01:39 PM

This man is now talking of human rights in religious terms. How nice of him to compare a man convicted of sexual molestation with the other two. What the heck do Godhra/ the Gujarat riots have to do with this incident? Now secularism is apartheid?! I've never read so much drivel...

Superb article
by Subbu on Mar 23, 2004 01:33 PM

This is a really good article. Readers should understand that everyone stand the same rights and should be aware of the illtreatment metted out to Hindus in the land which once belonged to them. It is really shamefull that we are not able to do anything towards establishing our basic rights. Shame on the Media and Shame on the polititians who project only the oppressers and not the oppressed.

How khem Singh Died
by K.N.Pandey on Mar 23, 2004 12:41 PM

In continuation of earlier massage--------
people responsible for even attack on our parliament are let off as innocents. Cases are dragged
to many years in the name of justice wheras other the
so-called free countries hunt the suspected globally
and kill them on other countries` soil.
Our such-week kneed reaction and concern for own people`s good and interest is responsible for
such treatments being meted out to us.

HOW KHEM SINGH DIED
by K_N_Pandey on Mar 23, 2004 12:24 PM

Absolutely honestly and correctly written. What a brilliant analysis of the activities of the so-called
pseudo-intellectuals and pseudo-secularists who cry horse and top of the world`s roof about any incident
corncerning the other catogory of Indian citizens.
Stories are made, columns are written, court cases are
instituted and world`s attention is drawn. But not a
drop of tears are shed for Kashmiri pundits who are
refugees in their own mother-land. If a single worshiping place is even rumoured to be damaged in India, thousands are killed in Bangladesh and worshipping place raged to ground. But nothing is reported in media. Even the present, chairperson of
Human-rights in U.K. probably hailing from Bngla-desh,never even thought of visiting Bangaladesh and
investigate these incidents. But first on her itinery was visit of Gujrat to investigate aftermath of Godhra-incident reaction-mind it not the Godhra-incident. You have rightly said, Hindus are sons of a
lesser God for whom even their own brothers do not
care to even voice their concern let alone to do something. For people like Sabana Ajmi and so called fashionable human rights` activists and our judicial systyms, p

what can i say!!
by parminder on Mar 23, 2004 12:19 PM

First of all, i am not a pseudo secularist, i live in US but have been here for just under 2 years. I don't wanna take the sides of indians much here, because i personally think we are backboneless ie the majority of hindus and sikhs in the US. The first thing we do is change colors and appearance. The bobby jindals that we are proud of change religions the first thing, the muslims i know convert the others to adjust to them, we hindus and sikhs do the other way.
I thank you for writing an article which shows the other side(WHICH WAS HIDDEN THUS FAR!!), but i am also sorry for u as u would not be given much of an audience other than the rediff which is one media which is not scared to call a spade a spade. I am regular reader of TOI and hate it for it being so irresponsible, i get tears in my eyes when i see my own country for which we have so much love and affection get excited by RAHUL GANDHI contesting elections from AMETHI a person who got 46/48% in his high school and still managed admission in st. stephen's new delhi, i don't want to see him rule india. Please people do something!! Lets die trying to make INDIA for Indians

I have a complaint!
by Mithun on Mar 23, 2004 12:11 PM

I agree with most of your points in all of your articles. I am blissfully unaware of some of the facts you mention. Reading your articles makes me feel helpless and distraught and I think there are many like me.

If one were to completely believe every word you write (which probably is true), not many things in this world are right. I am becoming increasingly pessimistic about where the world is heading. It would interesting to know your opinion on how the world is going to shape in the next 50 years and of course what part India is going to play.

For a change, you should also try writing an article that would make the reader cheerful and hopeful about the future :)

peace
