I have been an admirer of this author's articles. I used to think they are pretty well done. This one shattered my opinion of him. Not once has he mentioned what Khem Singh was accused of. Why? Obviously he realizes that it will affect his ability to subvert thoughts. Why doesn't he mention that there was a pretty solid watertight case (and not trumped up as he so ridiculously trumpets) against Khem Singh and give the full details of the case as well. We will then decide on sympathy issues.

You are absolutely right. Afterall he shouldn't have written this much about best bakery in which justice is ruthlessly denied to victim.
We know they are bullies. How do we tackle these bullies? In what way can they be punished? How can we change their nature? Such bullies are there in every community and in every nation and in some families too. Some atrocities come to notice. We cannot of course afford to be complacent. Just as Rajeev does, we can give wide publicity to such incidents and can hope that such incidents do not recur. Whatelse can we do?
I think Khem singh deserves to have any sympathy, afterall what was his crime ? he molested teenaged girls. This is what a "priest" is supposed to do ? i think its good that he is not around to do such a thing again.
Its shameful to the entire world that still we call it as we are in Modern Society. It's modern society with Ugly mind. Oh God,why you have allowed to die in such a way?
While I share the strong opinion and emotions of the author regarding the death of Mr. Khem Singh, I can not but wonder how such an incident could be given interpretations by the same sensitive person in such a way that amounts to 'hate-journalism'. I wish sincerely that the author uses his excellent linguistic capabilities to spread hatred of the evil of official apathy towards Indians in the US rather than plant hatred towards specific communities of religions thus fuelling communal tensions among unsuspecting Indians.
I wonder what Mr Srinivasan is trying to say, his is the totally warped logic of a neo-fascist, the like of which are unfortunately plenty amongst educated middle class upper caste hindus who can see a muslim angle to everything. Navroze Mody and Khem Singh were provided justice under the US laws while the muslims of gujarat are goverened by the butcher of gujarat. That is why a lot of people you mentioned talk about that and not navroze mody.

Media in India is definitely not being fair and seems more interested in making money..!!! Its a kind of undue advantage that they are taking of the freedom they are getting in Indian democracy. And the agony will continue as long as they dont get a hint of public backlash at them for being such.
Thank you for bringing up this incident, lets hope there can be justice in true sense.
