ramble on this!
by Ruth on Apr 21, 2004 05:39 PM
I mean I dont get it... Rediff actually pays you to google stuff, compile that with a couple of your own ramblings that are of no significant interest and puts it up on their website.
Why do you harp on rahul's girl friend. Maybe you could tackle jayant advani's divorce from his very indian bahu instead .

Hit the nail again!

Rajeev,

Another good one!

The Congie propaganda machine is so hot that even the small-time vernacular papers believe that Raoul is a highly educated guy. I remember comments in the press that neither he, not his parents, not his gramma (prehaps grampa Feroze Khan too) have had a respectable/useful education. And lookie here!

But I think it is good-let the balloon inflate enough before it gets pricked; it will give a bigger boom! At any rate, Indian voters today are not the same subservient-to-the-dynasty lot. So the myth will be busted for sure. May be another young gun will have a nationally broadcast televised debate with the prince Raoul I, and it will be a lot of fun!

Keep up the great work.

-B

Earning the ire of the ''Educated Elite''
by Adheet Gogate on Apr 15, 2004 07:11 PM

Rajeev

Your article on Rahul is well timed.

Too many people are blinded by this "young" man about India.

Does anyone care what his views are regarding the nation?
I for one would gladly vote for him IF (and only IF) he believed in a powerful, non-poor, non-sycophantic, internationally aggressive (as opposed to meek and emasculated) India.
IF he has a plan for achieving this, i don't mind voting for him.

I see no reason for voting him into power for his looks/hair/resemblance to Rajeev(Gandhi)

Mungeri Lal....
by M S Chandramouli on Apr 15, 2004 12:06 PM

Mungeri Lal ! thou shouldst be living at this hour; India hath need of thee. Some Harvard-educated journalists do not believe that some Harvard-educated prime-ministers-in-waiting will make the grade. Thou shouldst tell the said Harvard-educated journalist that tamasha is our birthright, that Bollywood may have its Big B but Rashtrahood has its Big G, that we shall fight for our entertainment never mind if a thousand EPWs and SEMINARs scowl, that we shall rule ourselves with the same quantity of tears which both our laughter and our despair produce...

Barking dogs never bite

And Mr.Rajeev Srinivasan is a good example of that. Rajeev, please look at other dynastic sons [*ahem*, apparently your favourite BJP/RSS front is fielding a number them as well], their education levels/ political experience before passing a judgement on Rahul Gandhi. And well, since both of you seem to have the same credentials, why not for a change, leave the cushion of your sunnyvale condo, get to the dust and heat of electioneering and contest the election? By your own argument, you are well qualified and have the same credentials as Rahul Gandhi, and more because you wont have the "dynasty blemish"... or are you another case of barking dogs dont bite?
Get the right perspective on, Mr.Rajeev, one can always interpret facts to any bigoted view, action is what will show the difference.

Educational Qualification is not everything. But when a person deliberately allow others to provide misinformation (just like his mother)that alone disqualifies him from holding any responsible position.

Do you know that a person misrepresenting his qualifications for obtaining a job will be terminated by any firm (private or public), of course with the exception of congress private limited.

I was not bothered about the qualification but the misrepresentation of the qualification (or allowing the misrepresentation)
