by kiran on Apr 18, 2004 05:43 PM

its a shame to have dynasty politics. its a shame for our democracy. what right does rahul gandhi has to contest the election. he knows nothing of hardships of common man. why should he work abroad?? to spend time with his girl friend? felt bored then decided to come back and congress party is waiting to crown this raja. shame, shame. if the Indian public votes him out, it will be the biggest success of this election

I fully agree with what Rajeev has to say. Some papers have recently reported that since there is opposition to Sonia becoming PM they want Rahul(whatever his Italian name may be)to become PM.
By the way why is it that Sonia or Kapil Sibal have not been able to tell public as to why it took 15yrs for Sonia to apply for Indian Citizenship after marriage?

Frankly I didnt even finish the column it was so boring. What the hack ! It doesnt matter what is the qualification of Mr.Gandhi wat we need is can he deliver ? Lets see if he can make some difference in amethi atleast then fine. Rajeev, r u jalous of him ? Well I too am. But then he has just got good platform its upto him how much can he fly ! NAture has tremandous equilibrium in itself but life is too small to see that ! Dont worry you will get your worthy place if you stop cribbing abt it ;) and will write something really useful

Article with no substance but gossip
by Jeff on Apr 17, 2004 02:54 AM

Does the author expect 'new comers' in politics to be 'experienced politicians'? Isnt it obvious that every veteran politician had his own 'first time' & 'first step'?.

As for the different information about Rahul's educational background by the media, this is something serious. The above said media should check their news gathering systems & enquire with the reporters & editors on where they erred. There can be only one truth & those media personnel have spectacularly failed in delivering the real truth.(if someone gives wrong information about me, who is to be blamed, me or he?). Let the EC check it from Rahul's statement of his educational qualifications.

But unlike some readers who said that this article was a 'character assassination', I think it was really a 'character suicide'. I wonder if Rajeev's character(if he has any left) could be brought to life again.

This article could be best featured as a gossip in a movie magazine, if they find the content decent enough to be published.

Do you understand sarcasm at all?
by Mathew Tharakan on Apr 16, 2004 01:55 PM

This is an entertaining piece, which savagely rips apart the mass of confusion behind which the Sonia Gandhi parivar resides. RS is not saying he is a Harvard graduate. He is saying that if RG is to be considered a Harvard graduate then anybody who took a couple of nonsense courses at Harvard has to also be a Harvard graduate. The question he raises about RG's actual or potential contribution to Indian society is quite valid. Anyway, those Congress supporters who got all offended can cure themselves if they read any of Mani Shankar Aiyer's columns. They are equally if not more rude and offensive.

What he is?

Superb piece You are too good for Rahul-dont compare dear it is something like Sonia-Atalji comparison, but still I am same confused, what Rahul is? Rajeev ,Have you seen him at Harvard or heard about him? Varun looks smart and better. He handles big election rallies alone, he is not shielded by such advisors.
