Dear Arvind:

We know you are on the payroll of the knickerwallahs - so your article is not a surprise. However, by giving up all pretentions to objectivity and sanity, you risk losing your claim to be a political analyst. Hence your next saffron pay check may not arrive...

Meanwhile, following the Supreme court's nasty remarks on the Best Bakery case - i look forward to a sequel from you - hope u won't dissappoint

More than 60,000 people killed in J and K during last 10 years, 2827 sikhs massacred in Delhi riots by none other than Congress bigwigs in 1984, Kerala killings, bomb blasts in Bombay in 1993 - not yet investigated fully and no convictions whatsoever till date. Best Bakery case has been singled out by NHRC whose main function is to see that the Governments do not make poor innocent suffer. By all means punish those involved in Best Bakery, but do not ignore others involved in the Delhi killings, bomb blast culprits, It is reported that SC has said that the 1984 killings have gone unpunished does not mean the same shall happen in Best Bakery case. Is it not the responsibility of NHRC to treat Hindu and other riot, terror, affected to be treated at par ? Considered equal ?

Okay, thats a very sensible comment. But also note that you haven't mentioned a single incident where muslims are murdered in mass. Also know that J&K killings are not restricted to just hindus. The same goes for the many incidents in your list. The killings shouldn't be seen as a hindu muslim issue, rather they should be considered as a crime and justice can be brought upon only by punishing the guilty. Not by killing some innocents in some other part of the country. Perhaps you are blind to the fact that this is excetly what those criminals want.

Lavkare's Best Bakery

i can't agree with Mr. Arvind Lavkare this time no sane man can. Only the people who are fanatic can share these views. there is a basic diffrence between patriotism and fanaciticism. generally Mr. Arvind's articles have a patriotic flavour. It is inhuman to find fault with Jaheera's intensions. i don't doubt jaheera my doubts are about the so called friends, NGOs and humanrights activists who are using her. it was no secret that the police Gujrat administrative machinery had sided and abated the riotiers after Godhra. that was expected since police and people were angry but the Govt.'s failure was in anticipating that and loosing its head. They failed to provide the leadership and behaved like goondas. Exactly the same thing had been pointed out by Shreekrishna Commission in maharashtra during Sena BJP rule. You cannot justify such manslaughter and genocide. Supreme court has also remarked on this. However I feel the supreme court while giving its verdict had gone beyond its limits. It has a right to comment on the Govt. but cannot suggest it to resign. Parliament or assembly are supreme, of whatever calibre they may be.

How much did you get paid and by whom for writing this garbage?

Oh no, I lied. Here's another one. Did you care to read through the Supreme court's directive to the Gujarat Govt? I suggest you do.

Witnesses turning hostile an criminals gettng scot free. This is not a new phenomenon. What happened in Delhi riot case? What justice the "adhabai Chawl" dead got? What is happening in Bharat Shah case where Bollywood celebraties have turned hostile.

I is true that Zahira case is an eye opener. But why people (NHRC included) are keeping eyes shut on simillar miscarriages which are still continuing.

An eye opener as to what can go wrong with our judicial system , if this petition by the NHRC is allowed. Also Ex. Justice Anand's thoughtless outburst shows him in true colours. Congratulations Arvind for bringing out this angle to public notice.
