Shielding his Bosses !!!
by Makarand Sane on Sep 15, 2003 05:05 PM

Lavkare is doing nothing but shielding the culprits in RSS parivar that are his bosses resposible for the gujarat Rioting. The court of law requires evidence. An accused is rendered as criminal only when there are evidences against him.But if the evidences are absent or made weak or purposly destroyed then the accused is exonerated. The same thing happend in Best Bakery case. The same thing happend in the massacre of our sikh brothers in 1984.Lavkare would write an article against the 'Atrocities' of the congressmen in 1984.But he would support what happened the aftermath of Godhra.because Whatever his Bosees do he's to support it.rest everything is injustice.Right from the begining the RSS people have adopted the policy of accepting 'Selective truth' and not the 'Absolute truth'.One should not forget that the RSS has its inspiration from the Hitler and his Nazi party. So his article cannot be taken as a surprise.People who do not believe in justice cannot render and support justice.

Has the editorial board of rediff gone mad?
by Ravi on Sep 15, 2003 09:24 AM  | Hide replies

Is this Lavakare fellow in his right senses? 12 people have been burned alive, and nobody gets convicted? And that's reasonable for this fellow? Asking for justice is hindu-hating? Rediff has stooped to bottomless depths by publishing this shameless hate-filled propaganda. What are you guys trying to prove? If you are trying to prove that can bring down the standards of journalism, you have already done it.

Mr. Arvind Shameless Lavakare, what would you say in the court, under oath, if you were warned that you will be killed if you told the truth?

Instead of blaming Gujarat's mafia government for faling to provide any security to zaheera, this justice-hater is blaming zaheera for being intimidated.

Mr AD. The investigation proved that the fire was from inside. Just google around and you will find it. It was a terrible thing to happen. What happened later was a government program of selective genocide (the SC ruled. The Staines ruling is out also). Agree with you that the minorities do get a say in the country. Thats because we are still secular despite the fanatic Hindu terrorists. If King Kong bashes you every time for having your point of view disagreeing with his, you will retaliate some time. Thats what is happening presently. Chill pal, we have a lot to look forward to than religious fanatism. We are Indians first. Btw, I am Hindu.

I usually liked your articles about external islamic terrorism .But you have done a unpardonable crime by
supporting the crimnals involved in burning alive of 20 people.justice must be delivered in any case whatever be the way it comes.

be it anti sikh riot of 1984,gujrat godhra and riots or marad killing etc.In each case killers must be brought to justice. Then only extremists will be forced to change their profession. Now in indian politics lot of leaders are making their career by playing on people seniments and dividing the society.
It will amount to irrepearable damage to india.

Where is the other side of the story ?
by Bill J Kidd on Sep 14, 2003 06:39 PM  | Hide replies

Would you rather value your life or the truth ? That was the question faced by Zaheera during the Best bakery case hearing in Gujrat. And after seeing how her relatives were burned alive, she knew those who raised those threats meant business. So she decided, Live today, fight tomorrow. Not surprisingly, this author who has shown his affinity towards facists like VHP/RSS/BD before, through his previous articles, didn't mention this side of the story at all. Instead he is bent upon spliting the legal hair lines and trying very hard to prove that those who burnt 14 innocents are innocent too.So who is blindfolded here ? Now after the SC indicating the butcher of Gujrat did nothing to protect the witness in the case, this authors claims fall by the roadside. So please readers, treat a crime as a crime. Godhara was a crime (wheather it was burnt from inside or outside), and so is the burning of Best bakery.

Dear Agg,its very easy to say 'No Godhra then No Gujarat riots'.You are doing nothing but preaching the theory of the 'Communal instigator of Gujarat' Mr. narendra Modi, the Action-Reaction theory. But according to this theory the reaction is always inflicted onto those who are innocent and have no connection with the heneous crime. The terrorism has come to our doorsteps. Please see,its killing the friends, relatives of mine and yours. Nothing would happen to Narndra Modi,Togadia,L K Advani,Bal Thackrey ,Imam Bukhari,Syed Shahabuddhin etc. They would be always protected by their supporters and commandos. Its always you and me have to die for the betterment of few stupids who instgate us,ask us to kill and rape our own citizens in the name of God or religion so that the Religion is protected(!!!).have you ever seen these people talking of progress, education, eradication of poverty etc?.No because their minset is pure vengeance. They do not have ideology. They represent criminal mentality. The British used us for ruling this country. Now these 'Netas' are doing the same for their 'Kursi'.Wake up man Wake up

You say 'innocent people' were killed in Gujarat. Well ! are you saying that 59 people burnt alive in Godhra were criminals ? Remember "In a storm not only the sinners die, majority are always 'innocent' because they do not control but support the criminals in their society". The fact is "No Godhra, no Gujarat".

Lavkare talks about the cost of travel
by rajiv on Sep 14, 2003 05:02 AM

Lavkare is worried about the cost of travel and documentation rather than the 15 humans who were burnt alive!! Think Lavkare what if all your family members were burnt alive and you were the only one left. Do you favour the Indian judicial system to shut the case so that some pennies can be saved for the corrupt leaders of this country ?
A person can lose his complete state of mind with such an incident and its couragous of the victim to speak up inspite of people like you in the media who will try to mitigate every attempt of justice being delivered.

Good job arvind. Now we need you to be sent as a karsevak to Ayodhya since you are the torchbearer of hindutva. For that you need to be a member of Sangh Parivar. If you are coming from Maratha/OBC you join VHP. If you coming from Brahmin/Bania/Rajput/Thakur you will be admitted into RSS. If you are coming from Dalit/SC/ST you join BJP. Good Luck

Blindfold in Best Bakery - Time the Hindu community did a rethink
by Jaganniwas Iyer on Sep 13, 2003 11:36 PM  | Hide replies

After the Supreme Court's latest outburts against the Modi Government, asking him to, well, "quit if unable to punish rioters" well, one wishes to ask what the High and Mighty Supreme Court of India has done to punish the Congress rioters of 1984? Or is politically correct and convenient judicial indignation expected to shut up the justified queries of Hindus on this score? Does the judiciary imagine that it has the supreme right to run the polity of this country? If so, why have the farce of a democracy in the first place? Time for Hindus to do a rethink on some very basic issues.

Mr. Gupta, what happened in 84 was a mistake. A big one. If there was forum like this at that time, my remarks would have been the same. My question is, does the fact that a mistake was commited in 84 imply the same mistake should be commited in 2003 ? The outcry against Modi and the rioters of Gujrat is not double standard my dear friend, but a call for all those civlized people to come forward to help stop something like this happen again. You can join us or you can join Mr.Iyer and his gang. You asking me to be honest ?? Well, look at the facts with an unpolarized eye and then decide for yourself wheather what you spoke is honest or not.

No mr Kidd the problem is that people didnot cried when no one was convicted in 84 riots. All witnesses turned hostile. Some accused were made cabinet minister. Sikhs are also minority but unfortunately they are concentrated in Punjab and have influence on 10-15 loksabha seats. This was the reason that no body made noise.

Double standards never help my friend. Be honest man then only system can be changed and no guilty will go unpunished.

Mr Iyer, SC didn't punish the rioters in '84, so lets leave these rioters also unpunished. Is that what you are saying ? And also we must leave those future rioters alone too, coz we left their ancestors free.So folks, what are you doing ? Lets riot, coz with people like Mr. Iyer here we will always have support and sympathies. We can riot, loot, murder and rape.No one will touch us, coz some rioters before were never punished and hence according to democracy as interpreted by Mr. Iyer we shouldnt be punished.
