interesting climax
by nitu krishnan on Jun 26, 2010 07:34 PM  | Hide replies

The saving grace is THE CLIMAX.
My personal opinion. MR should rely on his story than on his technicians .
Ravanan is a Cinematographer’s movie…..not a director’s movie.
Finally and as a woman, I hate directors when they use Rape as a reason for revenge. If directors are not able to come up with an alternative reason for revenge, please change the script, for god’s sake. Even after 50 years I guess our directors will still stick to this god forsaken concept of rape in tamil movies. Technology progress alone not important to improve the stature of tamil cinema. There has to be some transformation in the quality of scripts.

A tribute to Aish's beauty and Kerala forests
by nitu krishnan on Jun 26, 2010 07:30 PM

Raavanan marks MR’s decline point in his graph. The story ( if at all it existed ) is not taken care of. I felt like I was watching Discovery channel with aish, vikram and prithvi in it. The first half was spent equally watching the spell binding interiors of kerala forests and Aish’s eyes and nose….. It looked MR was concerned about glorifying Aish’s beauty and the forest than his own script…
Santosh Sivan…the real hero of the movie ..All the money this movie fetches should be redirect to him…Thanks a million for showing such lovely places do exist in our country and in that too our neighbouring state.
MR’s previous movies like mouna ragam, ithayathai thirudathe, nayakan, anjali…thalapathi haunted me for several days after watching it in my childhood days and as a teen. This movie hardly had any effect on me. The only feel was the cost of the ticket and popcorn in the theatre….
Dialogue ( if at all it exists )was below average. Music … I am sorry.Hardly remember any of them… the duet between aish and prithvi was RIDICULUS.

Indian Movie industry's answer to The Hollywood

What a Movie!! I still do not understand why people find reasons to hate this movie. It was such an excellent movie with good Direction, Cinematography, Music, Acting, Screenplay.. May be people expected something else that was missing in this movie. Hmm.. Was it Punch dialogues?? Market songs?? May be it was cos of these reasons.. Mani sir shud probably learn some of these to reach all the audiences.. And Mani sir please have Shahrukh Khan in your movies when u go for Hindi movies, else people will be disappointed.. and not to mention those semi nude appearances and the smooch sequences..
