@ unforgivably boring
by Siddhartha Ghosh on Jun 21, 2010 12:39 AM

Y can't 2day's award winning directors do entertaining movies?? Audience go to theatres to refresh their mind from their hectic lives!! Ofcoarse they can make movies which can give some morals/knowledge to the society.. But it can b done by combining moral wid entertainment.. 2day's directors r making 1-dimensional movies, eighther there would be brainless comedy or else it would be very serious movie!!
Kindly some1 explain to these directors!!

Raavan

Stupid storyline..i bad attempt to make a movie on RAVAN.....we cud just see glimpse of incidents in Ramayana...but this movie was trillions of Light years away from the great Epic. That was the thing why audience hated the movie.......The inspector Dev was a villion himself......and he was the most irritating character in the movie.

Raavan

There is nothing wrong in showing the story from point of view of Raavan. After all even Ajmal Kasab can have his side of story. What is not so good is the way it is told. It is extremely boring and the acting is over the top. It fails to engage the audience unless they are biased because of several factors especially being fan of cetain people.

I have just come after watching the telugu version( villain). It is a wonderful film and simply mindblowing. I congratulate the entire team of Raavan, the men on and behind the screen for giving us a brilliant film. Special kudos to the director Mani Ratnam and Vikram, who is a powerhouse of talent. The review is in fact unbelievably pathetic. I request rediff to stop the reviews of Mr. Sen. He is the same guy who gave 2 stars to 3 idiots and thought Shruthi Seth was a highlight in terms of acting in Rajneeti! Please do not believe the review and watch the film in tamil, telugu or Hindi. I am sure Abhishek also would have given a great performance.

This is not Ramanand sagar's Ramayana Serial
by anand babu on Jun 20, 2010 10:17 PM

It is very clear that mani did not try to tell a story that is known to all(the battle between Vikram(Ram) -Abishek(Raavanan) (or) the love b/w Vikram -Ash (Sita) )so please don't try to find reasons for all the scenes (which infact you already know), the movie is completely to capture the softness within an evil man and mani has done exactly that, so if u want to see a typical indian movie where everything needs to be explained please don't try it but if you can really understand the bigger...
