Good Movie
by sanjeev malhotra on Jun 21, 2010 10:58 AM

Any one who has given -ve review has either not seen the movie or is not a regular to cinemas. It is a Very Good Movie- Much better that most of the movies this year. Very good Music, Good Acting, Very Good Cinematography. One more thing - Almost all movie shot in rainfall - lots of water all around - felt great in this hot wheather.

Raja ji, have you ever made 2 min. video on even cell phone. Pl. make it and then you will know how much efforts are made to make a movie. You don't have the sense to judge the movies.

What a pointless question Shital. I have never cooked but I can always tell how good the food is.

What is your logic. Raja sen definitely seems to know more about movies.

Like most other movies, Raja Sen's review of Ravaan is apt.
If you did not find the movie to be boring, then you go to movies just to see good pictures.
Only cinematography is not a film.
Maniratnam messed up big time. This is the worst movie of this career.
Even the genius Rehman could not redeem him.

What do you like seeing in a movie - only story ( even story is ok much better than other movies)? Will you kindly spare some time and tell what you didn't like in the movie ?

its over hyped , no substance, for once raja sen is right , and i have been his strongest vituperative critic... ash should have just stuck to sashaying on the ramps because when she contorts her face in the name of acting she looks positively ugly and lets not forget shes getting old ... go make a baby ash... i wonder what jitters shankar and rajini will be going thru for enthiran ....

Bad film

For once, i agree with Raja Sen's review. Irritating movie. Good cinematography but absolutely nothing apart from that! Shoddy sript-writing and Abhishek's performance was a joke!

Very biased review
by Subienay Ganesh on Jun 21, 2010 08:06 AM  | Hide replies

Looks like Raja sen cannot look beyond Dibakar banerjee and his ilk. Raavan was an stupendously atmospeheric film and it was meant to be that way - nevermind the Ramayana etc. The only thing it suffered from is expectations. The SAME movie, if made by Dibakar Banerjee or Anurag kashyap or Vishal bhararwaj would have got it a 5 star rating from Sen. Right Sen ? And what's Sen's upto about Mani Ratnam and RGV and mirroring each other etc ? Jalan, jalan, jalan is it ? Irrespective if Raavan flops badly, Mani's next film will be equally hyped and sold for a huge price. since he is the only Indian filmaker with FANS and does not really need stars. Pathetic biased and stupid review.

Stupendously atmospheric? LOL.
Ravaan is all air (atmosphere) and no substance. Thats why Raja Sen is right. And the film has flopped to.
You don't go to a movie to see the pictures...do you?
Shoddy script, inane dialogues, bad acting... big time mess up.
Don't eulogise bad work just to spite Raja Sen.
