Miss Pavithra ... i hope u know that most of the tamilians had not watched the original.. I cant understand the thought process u applied while writing this review. Why did you mention the suspense part of the movie (kamal's role of course) and spoiled the entire party... Reviews should not act as spoil sports...hope u will consider this in future..

Did you really watch the movie? I watched it and I am telling you, excellent background score, I think have to watch it again (if you have watched before) and then you will understand the importance of the background score, which jelled along well with the story.
Just I am back from the theater after watching Unnai Pol Oruvan. It is simply superb. First, I should appreciate the dialogs, as they are the real hero of the film.
Second, the cinematography is excellent, my eyes remained cool till the end.
Third, the background score. Some say background score is not up to the mark, but if you notice the movie closely you will find it is very intelligent, I believe the background plays a major role in the film's success.
Fourth, the acting. I do not know to say who is best, all characters did their job excellent, it is wonderful team. Kamal no need to say superb, especially he controls his tendency to overact, thanks. Mohanlal, what to say, amazing.
Director has done a good job.
I expected a little more in climax, except that overall, it is a class movie, fast moving, entertaining (it is the magic of the dialogs). A MUST SEE.....

Don't think this is even a patch on the original. What is this Pavithra Srinivasan raving and ranting about when every scene including the dialogues are ripped off word to word. Wherever Unai Pol tries something original it falls flat...sample Natasha's introduction in a studio with Bush Musharraf puppets cracking some of the most jaded jokes.....The movie lost it upfront when Kamal was shown assembling bombs as his introduction. Naseer was never shown doing anything of that sort and in fact till he seated himself on the terrace of the unfinished building no one had a clue of his intentions. The only place it improvised was planting the bomb in a jeep in the end. The Hindi one showed it planted under a rickety bench...(difficult to believe that such a bulky contraption couldn't have been noticed under an open bench). And Unai Pol meanders and loses pace every now and then unlike Wednesday which had you on the edge throughout.

Doesnt matter. Both are too good and money spinner for many producers. Both are performers, one a proven stylist and the other proven path breaker. Its like asking "Do you want PAV Baaji or Pizza". Well you need both as various point of time other we will get bored. These too guy provide enough for us to enjoy.

Kamal is Like a Test Match,Seems Boring,But will be talked for Generations..Rajinikanth is Like a 20-20 match,Very Interesting to watch,but forget it Overnight.
Eg: Even today we remember the world record partnership of Laksman and Dravid @ Kolkatta or Shewag's Innings against Pakistan or Even More and more,
What can you think about 20-20,Only Yuvraj's 6*6 or even winning the world Cup.
Class is Forever,Style or Mass is Temprory...
Always Think Kamalji and Rajiniji are the heartthorbs of Tamilains and all other people in the World...
