Everything in the movie, screenplay, direction, acting of Mohanlal but but the acting of Kamal is pathetic. I has expected more fom Ulaganayagan. This role if Rajni would have been done betterthan Kamal. Anyway good remake of Hindi movie.

Movie is good but kamals acting is routine...he just cant act normal like b4, may be he lost the grace once he had in movies like mahanadi, guna, sagara sangamam etc.

kamal should have done the role of police officer and let mohanlal do the commonman role.

Will it be released in English
by Anish Tripathi on Sep 21, 2009 10:20 AM  | Hide replies

Hi. Sounds very exciting and I loved Wednesday and I am sure that this would be as good if not better. Any chance of it being reelased in Hindi / English (dubbed version) or with subtitles (in DVD fornat)?

PLease think about us non-Tams also - we lover some of the Tam movies but would like to see them with subtitles! :-)

Please ignore the bigotted statements on Tams - all of us Indians are regional and nationalistic in equal proportions - thats the beauty and the problem of India - but I would not have it any other way!

Tamil movie review by a Tamilian

A 4-star rating for a remake. Good reviews. The extreme end of Tamil communalism.

My question to all Tamil brothers and this Tamil critic...

Will you dare to rate such review comments if a Tamil movie is made from other regional language movie like Kannada or Telugu.

so wat even departed was a remake it won oscar.. nothing in adopting and remaking a good film or script so it reaches more people. 1st half mohanlal stole d show the faceoff between lakshmi was amazing which was not in hindi version. at the climax kamal proved how grt actor he is amazing performance. Kamal is genius mohanlal is a grt actor... hope to c them soon in another mind bowling performance.

I expected more from kamal in terms of performance...however
by guest on Sep 20, 2009 09:39 PM  | Hide replies

I have seen wednesday long back and when I left the hall there was a lump out of my throat. Nasurdeen was amazing in his dialogue delivery. Since I believed, kamal would be better than him, I expected a power pack performance from him. Probably that expectation made me unsatisfied other wise the script would have better made in his way, not sure where the mistake is. Even I felt sometimes that mohanlal's role also more or less equal to kamal's role. Mohanlal also did a fair job when compare anupam khar. They both are equally good. But kamal is able to overcome nasarudheen's performance? I doubt here. Probably, since i have watched wednesday first. I didnt get the same feel when i watch this UPO. Somthing is missing. In the original
shah is far better then anupam, we will feel that explicitly. The cop's role of mohanlal is equalling kamal. Mohanlal is also one of the top actors in mallu world who is suited to many types of roles, however
in cop's uniform, he is just second or third among the actors in malluworld who can give the best police punch. Still, here this actor has given good justice to the role in UPO almost equalling kamal, Even I felt this is best cop he has given in his career. what happened to kamal normally who is overshadowing everybody with his excellent talent always..Is there
something missing?

Still good luck to the venture...

THIS IS B'CAUSE IT IS VERY EASIER ROLE FOR KAMAL THAN SHAH. IT LOOKS SHAH TO TAKE SOME RISKS BUT KAMAL DID THE SAME EASILY
