Creative liberty?
by BR on May 08, 2009 06:15 AM  | Hide replies

No liberty in this case, this liberty has gone too far, cannot forget the liberty that RGV took in dawdling along the corridors of the Taj Hotel amidst destruction.

His contribution to pathos should be visit the poor policemen who died that night, and offer help and sympathy.

I don;t sleep on a sofa. Am always on my toes. Am not an idle radical who talks about changes, change this and change that.

Stay off the national anthem! Is that too much to ask particularly when there are supposoiedly ultra intelligent and ultra artistic people just like your self around?

use some imaginations. Leave the national anthem alone. Just shows that you have never sung it in school, EVER! Or you wouldn;t trash it so much. And trust it to know that I am not much older than you.

Some respect , dude!

If creativity is an issue, take a break, come back and then do another 'Road' or 'Company'.

You have an angst , a 26/11 angst that you want to portray, why bring in national anthem. This song is so pure, so simple, singing a few lines brings a tear to my heart and renches my heart, why do you want to tamper with it?

All those who want change even in national anthem , go lay hands on some other island, and take RGV with you.

Obviously you are too lietarl. I said 'an agnst, a 26/11 angst'. RGV took an angst , got inspired enough to make a supposedly patriotic movie.

So shouldnt we be glad that we are getting a patriotic movie. Atleast it will inspire some people to stand up for what India truly is great?!

What? We can keep going round and round about India's issues, abvout consciousness, about RGV's or your liberty, and about feeling good about patriotism. Bottom line is we are no more patriotic than the stray dog on the streets.

So at least leave some sanctity alone for the national anthem, th enational flag and the nationhood.

No tampering
by BR on May 08, 2009 06:00 AM

As if tanmpering with food, infrastructure, currency, livelihood, children's examinations, doctor's diagnosis is not enough, we have tampering with national anthem.

RGV , you need inspiration you go ask Piyush Mishra.

New, Old, heck
by BR on May 08, 2009 05:58 AM  | Hide replies

National Anthem cannot be tampered with. Its one of the simplest songs ever written. How dare one tamper it?

RGV is getting reputation for tampering. He tampered with Sholay, and now national anthem. Man Shiv Sena must get on his case.

National Anthem cannot be tempered with
by BR on May 08, 2009 05:56 AM

RGV is trying another gimmick.

For current sensibilities does he not have any other song? Ask Piyush Mishra for some ideas.

Blast RGV for tampering with national anthem. That anthem is not his ghar ka puja. LEAVE THE ANTHEM ALONE!

RGV portrayed the face of the country
by jafar basha on May 07, 2009 11:40 PM  | Hide replies

I liked the trailer as it truly reflected the true face of country in the midst of media crisis we are facing today.. The song in no way meant to intentionally downplay nation's integrity or esteem. We should be broadminded enough to accept the truth on face rather being so rigid about expressing opinions. As long as judicial system doesn't object playing the song, I feel there's no need to rise any concerns or protests over this. We waste heck a lot of time and energy on protesting over things that don't benefit any one. Under the shades of guarding our glory which is fading at incredibly faster pace, we are retarding our own growth.

It is important that one does not tamper with a few things that describe the nation as such. Like the national flag and the national anthem. Maintaining as such and respecting them shows that we care about it. Just imagine if tommorow someone tampares the name of your father just to make it look cheesy or trying to mould it into a name that describes a person he is not. The respect given to a nation is very important and the nationalistic feeling should be there to some extent to have the binding force throught the nation. I would say maintainece of different cultures is very important as it gives diversity to the attitude of people making more novel ideas to emerge for the development of the civilzation. thats why global economy with a nationalistic cultural based civilizationis better than a closed economy with one global culture.
RGV is a guy who will sell his parents for publicity, vilasrao deshmukh s another son of a b..ch. Since he took RGV to the taj hotel during his first visit.

If RGV uses a version of the National Anthem takes certain liberties to to portray the state of the nation than what is wrong with it. As it is the Nation and its people need to jolted from thier cozy existence to take action against the parasites (corruption, terrorism, regionalism, communalism, casteism) eating the nation...
