It is not right to express one's frustrations with the nation's ills through a reworked patriotic national anthem. With so many lyricists around surely RGV could have found one to write new lyrics and set a new composition for the situation than slaughtering the natinal anthem. I say delete it and get a new one initiated.
Good song from RGV. Perfectly fits for today's India
If we are sincere and honest towards our country this situation would never come to tamper our National Anthem.
We are patriots only by words but not in action
We take utmost care of our home but never bother ourself for others. We as a Indian, we should consider whole country as our home. Then only India progress and we are united.
We shld be united for any cause.
Unless we don't change ourself whole country system will never be change ..........even good politicians can't change it.
We are in democratic country and we have all the rights to bring culprit to the street for justice. How many times we have done like that.......we never protest for anything we just accept whatever comes on our way.
Please be patriot first then whole country will automatically be in system. If our system is correct then no one can stop us from progress.
Creative liberty or not the fact remains you dont do cocktails of some sacred things.RGV's intention to indicate todays india is commendable but our anthem is too pure to be mixed and sung. Kinshuk
those who agree tht let the song be there.. coz it really tell us where we are n what we r doing as an indian... we can just pray Bharat ko bcha le vidhata....
for those who dont want national anthem to be remixed .. my simple question to u is " Do u think our national anthem's honour is too low or its sentiments are too weak tht any song will overpower it...it is like Chetan Bhagat is writing ramayana or geeta and we are ready to forgot Balmiki's Ramayana"

Actually I would say that while no one has stopped Chetan Bhagat from re-writing Ramayana, the version by Balmiki has a higher chance of being forgotten in this day and age of modernism, by Chetan Bhagat's version gets to be a cinema by someone like RGV who has many fans.

Nope , not to you.
Like I said, national anthem is only one, it cannot be modernised or remixed. You try it, and lots of fools like you will want to write it in your own language, and isn't this Rediff->Movies board an ample proof of regionalism and superiority complex .
Dear Readers, Do we implement / understatnd the real meaning of the Anthem? when i said we it means all of us civilians, politicians, army personel, business mens etc... If we understand that then i guess no body can challenge RGV's decision of presenting the real COndition of India today. Issues we have: 1. Corruption 2. regionalistatin 3. Poverty 4. Terrorism 5. Linguistic racism 5. Castism 6. Mis-understood democracy. If you understand this and map to the current dilapitated state of India then you wont dare to write much against RGV or for that matter any other optimisitc Indian
I do think that our National Anthem is sacred, would loose its charm if people start making different versions of it. I am completely against disturbing the originality & sanctity of our sacred national anthem.

I am with you on this one. The national anthem cannot become another remix. can't understand what's up with the people.
No liberty in this case, this liberty has gone too far, cannot forget the liberty that RGV took in dawdling along the corridors of the Taj Hotel amidst destruction.
His contribution to pathos should be visit the poor policemen who died that night, and offer help and sympathy.

I don;t sleep on a sofa. Am always on my toes. Am not an idle radical who talks about changes, change this and change that.
Stay off the national anthem! Is that too much to ask particularly when there are supposoiedly ultra intelligent and ultra artistic people just like your self around?
use some imaginations. Leave the national anthem alone. Just shows that you have never sung it in school, EVER! Or you wouldn;t trash it so much. And trust it to know that I am not much older than you.
