One of the best movie by Anurag Kashyap. And Great Music and acting by Piyush Mishra.This film undoubtly leaves a mark. Some of the great performances by KK,Piyush Mishra,Ayesha Menon,Deepak Dobriyal. And yes Mahi Gill look splendid in Ranaji Song. Some of the best scenes when abhimanyu singh says he was so busy in the work that....,deepak dobriyal paanwala scene, piyush mishra songs in between and the best song "duniya" at the last.... and dont forget to watch the scene in which you see a piyush mishra with a fulzari's refelection in his spectacle. The movie is perfect, dark and deep. The cast is perfect.Jesse Randhawa character is complete waste but still its a complete package film. deserves 4 stars..... If you really like the cinema which is a different and it shatters you in the end...go for it....

he is becoming the next rgv.too much of trying to be different and then falling into the gutter.There had been govind nihalani and ketan mehta and the likes before.This movie has brilliant performance by kk and raj chaudhry.deepak and piyush is good but the story and the hero is bad.

Very correct, but only that this is old plot which has been brought out now for encashing anurag's popularity. Hope, his new plots do not become same.

I feel sorry abt ppl like u, who cant appreciate atleast some small things in such a beautiful tale, TC dude
never agreed more wid raja sen .... captivating first half... disappointing second half .... Gulal , for me was a cinematic orgasam which left me asking for more...
i have been reading Raja Sen\'s reviews for a while now. i admired him for his dark sarcasam and his love for english dictionary. but in this case, i think he has realy nailed it in the best possible manner. Gulal for me, takes you through a cinematic orgasam and at the same time, leaves u frustrated and wanting for more....... definately worth a watch.
today i watched gualal and really its was better than my expection(mind it i am a AK fan)...movie start with excellent speech of KK and its was true narration of current indian politics condition...this movie is like eye opener for those who think hindi cinema can not be intellegent or meaningfull...just watch it and you will know what is good cinema.for me its best movie of anurag along with black friday.... raja sen review was like confusing physics string theory...revies was full with praise but got only 3 star...
by the way kudos to piyush mishra,KK,deepak, Abhimanyu Singh and offcourse anurag.

and one more thing i am very big fan of tigmanshu 'haasil',watched it more than 100 times(it was like college anthem in our time)...but for me gulal is better than haasil any day....

ha ha ha...i think you likes only those movies with theme rahul meet to anjali after that they falls in love and parents are not agreed so rahul ne kasam khaya( in sarso ke khet me) ki main to papaji se tera haath maang ke aaunga aur uske baad 4-5 love song hota hai and finally happy ending...
