mr.risky, did you choose your mother tongue?? c.v.raman would have shone even if he was born as a gurkha. that was his personal intelligence, not donated to him by some community

I could not see the comments. But every community by religion or lang or country or region try to show it as their own, Nothing wrong. No one will say abt a ter rror ist as his own community...

Talent
by Chander on Jan 14, 2009 01:41 AM  | Hide replies

Somebody struggles, after his father's death to lead a decent life. In search of better life even change personal faith. Work as a musician under some Music Director. His talent is recognised by one film maker. Given a chance excel. He is given more chance by more film makers in India & abroad.

No regional or national social service society or political group or lingual groups helped him in his struggling days.

Now everybody wants a share of his success.
They want to reduce his own share in the success by saying that He is successful because he belongs to a particular region ...

3 cheers to rahman,hiphiphurray!
by max on Jan 13, 2009 11:13 PM

Why only Danny for slumdog, one mr adiga , the likes of arundhati roy ,kiran desai ,u & me also can be heaped honours for portraying India distastefully. While there is no denying the poverty & filth that ruins India, these people mock upon them for definite western approval. Vilification not empathy of India's misery is these people's claim to fame!
but i congratulate rahman for good music and the resultant award ,congratulation!

Re: Every now and then a South Indian gets Fame for India

Why you guys always split into north and south, that caste and this caste, that religion and this religion, I think we are the same and above all we all are Indians. Try to glorify the achievements of our people instead of fighting within us. Whats the difference in you guys and a terrorist.

I am a guy from Chennai. I appreciate people every one who has achieved something in life irrespective of region, language and caste. If guys like us who are educated enough to know all these think like this, then I wonder what will be the mind set of people who are not educated.

I feel dejected guys.

oye risky, in free competitive field where no quota reservation is allowed, its sheer talent that shines. Film Making is such a place. An actor, musician, director get work as per his talent. Not as per his mother tongue. You will never understand that ...
