Yuvvraaj, The Indian Symphony ! Par Excelelnce
by SAURABH BHAKRI on Nov 18, 2008 12:52 PM  | Hide replies

One needs to have an ear for the compositions created. Certainly not to be compared to that of 'Taal'. It is a level quite different and higher in its treatment. Needs a couple of patient listenings. And the score grows on you.

The compositions are quite exclusive and far ahead of the normal soundtarcks we get to hear, for an average music lover.

The musical score is Grand, Royale, an opera , say the first Indian opera to the world. A brilliant Indian Symphony. And it could come, but naturally, from the maestros and a great combination of Subhash Ghai and A R Rahman.

A GRAND ENSEMBLE BY THE MAESTROS ! IT’S A MASTERPIECE WORK !

One needs to reach to a level to enjoy and value the compositions of 'Yuvvraaj' to feel the richness, grandness of the score.

Compostions are loaded with lyrics of great brilliance by Gulzar ji in all its simplicity to spread the message of love to the people all over, across the boundaries I mean.

'Dil ka Rishta' stands out as the best composition, I feel, as one would expect from the combination of Subhash Ghai and A R Rahman.

It has some great lyrics and an orchestration that seems to have never been assembled before to make it a grand score in its treatment with brilliant sounds of Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Snare Drum, Castanets, Guiro, Timpani, Xylophone, Chimes or say the sounds of Piccolo, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, or say the Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, French Horn and what not that go into

Rahman is the name of Music
by aniruddha sharma on Nov 07, 2008 07:11 PM

Brothers plz dont fight on the name of great melody makers. They all have given us some melody to be flowed in our lives and Rahman, no doubt is the name of music itself. Be it Indian classical, western classical, simple melody, folk....he excels in everything...A man can produce such a megical thing only when he worships doing it and Reman truely worships music.
Yuvvraaj is again a masterpiece. anyone who has a good understanding of music would not be able to stop him/herself to listen to this heavenly music again n again. It leaves a taste on our soul which is not of this earth. Rahman's music and Gulzar sahab's poetry who is undoubtedly comes next to Ghalib...
Whenever these people gives us something, it is the gift of God to humen kind.

Afterall music is something which directly connects to the heart.

Try to respect the hardwork of others
by raghunath menon on Oct 26, 2008 01:36 PM

All the critics of Rehman are conveniently forgetting his works in Lagaan, Taal, Earth etc and his numerous other scores in Tamils. It is natural for people to get inspired by other creations, what has to be noticed is that whether he has done justice to his creations and wehether the tunes are original. Without any celeb tag and coming from a humble background , if Rehman has reached to this level, it is simply due to hs talent, his effort, perseverence and above all his hadwork, self belief and confidence. It is quite easy to tick off someone as a copycat. Just look at other celebs , who is in the limelight just due to the reason that they are born to a father or a mother or a family who had already made it big and have quite firm hold on the industry. You people have no problem hailing them has heroes, superstars and geniouses shamelessly and instead are out to malign the hardwork of a person coming from a humble background. Shame on you.It is indeed very hard to reach a level of excellence and it is even harder to maintain that level of excellence and admiration from others for a long period and that needs both character and talent. God has blessed Rehman with both, dear friends, and the rest his history, despite being attacked from day one in the last 16 years.
