There is nothing in the movie , the story nothing great about it after 20 mins you can predict the what is the intention, had this movie been directed by big banner RGV or Yash or Karen it would have floped, Sarkar Raj is better movie compared to aamir as per rediff aamir was better then sarkar raj which is not true.
sumthing is terribly wrong with this film...this aamir is just not unrealistic it is also a waste of time....what kind of story line is there...sum stranger giving calls & thus developes a plot from nowhere...then there is mumbai darshan whic we do everyday while living, sleeping, eating & defacating....but in aamir this daily routine is spiced up with unreal happenings...like a phone call to karachi & sum bhai delivering a red suitcase....& a mock fight......& only thing noble in this tiresum film is the end when hero decides to be a martyr...what a negative approach to life & film making...yeah i will give full marks to the camera work which was at par with black friday
Disturbing, realistic, moving, vivid---call it what you will, but 'Aamir' surely deserves to seek the Best Picture Award for 2008 (though unfortunately, and most conventionally, it is a film like Jodhaa-A, a mere imaginary concoction with romance and big stars, that may just walk away with all awards..) Ah, let's not get into that familiar pattern-comparisons ! We're speaking here of the film "Amir", what it means to the viewer. Let's leave comparisons aside for a while..it is comparisons of people, films, ideas that work against confidence. And anyway, comparisons are always subjective. To me 'Aamir' was simpler, more direct, more telling.
"Aamir", the must see film was a very bold attempt by Rajkumar Gupta to project truth in its naked manifestation. The script is bold, refreshing and reflecting the true side of the muslim character. Such a movie was never attempted before barring "Khaki" where the trauma of an innocent Muslim doctor trapped as terrorist was protrayed so well. Aamir, is totally a different story and it has brought out many things to the world. The first and foremost was the stenchy locality of Mumbai which no one has ever seen. The plight of the residents, majority of them Muslims, living in shandy conditions. The other side is how an innocent Muslim Doctor was blackmailed to do what he could not do even in his dream. The final sacrifice of his life to save hundreds in the blast, truly reflects the basic character of a normal Muslim, who loves his country as much as any other Indian does.In the end, its a beautiful movie, well narrated, scripted and timely. The treatment meted out to the Muslim doctor on his arrival at the airport, was real. Then what is the difference between the West and India particularly after 9/11, where every Muslim tourist is scanned and suspected. When such a situation is forced on the community,it is bound to react differently. It is now the duty of one and all to treat all Muslims with fairness required particularly at the airports. The portrayal in the movie "Aamir" by a non-Muslim Director, reflects nothing but truth. Its an eye opener for one and all.Let Aamir and Amar.

Let his movie be an Eye Opener to Muslims more that to a Hindu. It would be good for nation and for peace and prosperity
